Following a clinical assessment and scans, Moussa Sissoko has today (Tuesday) undergone surgery to the medial collateral ligament in his right knee.

Our medical staff will monitor Moussa’s recovery before he commences rehabilitation with a view to returning to training in early April.

These injuries are beginning to properly kill our season off. Saturday should be fun. Thoroughly looking forward to the cringeworthy and humiliating Amazon doc ?

Another opportunity for Mourinho to try a different combination. Mybe it might force Levy’s hand .

Dele or Moussa? Moussa has less ability but can be more effective over a number of games and even when he has poor moments he is still having useful moments in games. I think he would affect the coming game against Liverpool more than the out of sorts Dele Alli, who when effective has won games but when ineffective is like playing with 10 men and can happen over quite a few games. I'm devils advocate.

Sissoko has been been brilliant and proved nearly everyone wrong. But he is a big guy and that puts a lot of stress on the knees. These big guys are indestructible until they aren't.
I'm not saying this is the end - far from it, but especially in midfield where there is a lot of stopping, starting and turning, that knee will not get an easy ride. I hope I'm wrong.

Alli is a luxury player. But we are entitled to some of that surely?
I like him better when he runs into the box from deep. When he is static, he is physically not getting round his marker. He gets overpowered. Some refs give a freekick. Some think strong contact is part of the game and he has a reputation... He can finish and I like that in a player.

Slightly off topic, but BBC are reporting that it has been confirmed that HK will be out until April.

It's not as if we haven't needed a proper back-up for Harry for about 5 fucking years now. Soldado unfortunately flopped, Jansen was a punt that didn't work out and Fernando was always no more than a stop gap. It still astounds me the incompetence of the people running our club when it comes to the playing squad.

Sure we have the best stadium and training facilities on the planet. We now have one of the most successful managers ever but somehow Danny Levy still thinks he can spend less than Leicester, Villa etc and still expect a top four finish.

I hope to be proved wrong but you just know that it's going to be another miserable transfer window this Jan despite us needing a new GK, Centre-half, RB, LB, Playmaker and a second striker at the very bare minimum.
