Lyon has done this in the past - they release a statement regarding one their players future at the club, denying that the player is on their way. out. IMO it's more of a statement that if the club want the player, make your bid or fuck off

We were in for Dembele at Fulham could see this being the panic buy option. As others said though I doubt we will do this one.

probably one of the two biggest realistic “hindsight” questions of our last 5 years. If we had gotten him and bought Ricardo instead of Aurier..... ugh painful to think about.

That's back in 2016 when those reports came in. Looking at his history of injuries: Knock, Tigh and hamstring injuries have been the reason, not a dodgy knee so surely he's not troubled with his knees...?
