Jose Mourinho says Troy Parrott is "not ready at all" to shoulder the burden of replacing Harry Kane and joked that Paris Saint-Germain should send Tottenham Kylian Mbappe on loan.

I think Jose will integrate more youth but we can’t expect Troy to replace Kane, yes games and minutes but let’s ease him in to being our man striker.

He hasn’t got a choice, he has start playing youth players with all of the usual injuries piling up.

There is no way a 17 year old is ready for the burden of leading the line for the rest of the season. Totally agree with Jose on this.

Although, if we somehow manage to not sign someone capable of playing up top, I'm gonna be screaming to play Parrott as much as possible!
We've looked toothless of late.

If you read Jose's comment in full context, it's not at all as sour as it sounds in soundbite. He says Parrott is 17, whereas Tanganga is 20, so there's a 3 year development/experience gap between them. It's after making this point that he says...

"I think Troy has to go through a process. Can he have minutes? Yes, he can. I'm not saying he's not able to have minutes, but to put on his shoulders the responsibility of replacing somebody to be replaced, I don't think he's ready at all."
