So which right back would you pick other than Walker or Naugton?
No issues with Walker. He's a great right back

Who is goiing to plat leftback other than Rose? Well there is Fryers...
Vertonghen

Who would you find to replace Dawson when two other CBs are injured?
Dawson is fine if there is no one else

Who is going to provide width without Lennon... well I guess there is Townsend...
Provide width? He could try Chadli/Dembele there. More effective than Lennon.

What other English players do we have? Defoe? Kane? Hardly over used.
Bentaleb?

Possibly the stupidest comment in a very stupid thread.
Thanks. You might want to check the forum rules and note its only my opinion

Holtby being shipped out to Fulham.
The Lamela debacle
Soldado shooting like an imperial stormtrooper

Realising Vertonghen and probably Lloris will leave in the summer

Its not even close.

Soldado unfortunately. Really gutting for us and him, lets hope he/we can turn it around.

Sorry if I have infringed forum rules. I suppose it was a bit offensive. I just do not understand the point you are making.

And your answers do not help. Bentaleb seems a little uncertain of his nationality, but he is fairly definite on the point that he is not English. And would you really play Veronghen at leftback when he has been one of only two fit centrebacks - and really, really hates playing there? And when has Dawson played when there have been two fully fit alternatives?

How in gods name are we still in the race for CL football?!

This season has seemed like a complete clusterfuck.

lol I might start spending my 50 quid on one of those women who light candles in your penis and whip and humiliate you. It seems to be a similar experience to w

I reckon they'll stay if we bring in the right manager with a big reputation...

Good God, that's the toughest poll I've encountered for years!!!

in the end I went for Kaboul's inability to stay fit, partly because it has meant Dawson plays instead, partly because I put him in my fantasy team after the Newcastle match thinking he was back to full fitness! With a pairing of Younes and Vert all season I think we would have conceded a lot fewer goals.

But it was a close call between them all, with Soldado and lamela running it especially close.

As for Andros trying to emulate Bale, that isn't depression, its just embarassing tbh.

Haha. Whether Bentaleb likes it or not he "can" play for England if he wishes but chose Algeria.

Vertoghen as a left back is miles better that Rose. You have to do what is needed to make the team better. He plays left back for Belgium.

Dawson would get picked over Chriches I suspect.

"The Sacking of AVB and Replacing Him with a Clueless Novice Saga."

Perhaps not completely clueless, but this is Sherwood's first stint as a manager (or head coach, whatever.), and Tottenham should never (ever!) have been his first.

It is funny, we clamour for years for a top class goal scorer at this club - we sign Roberto Soldado who's been a leading scorer in La Liga and in Europe for years yet we've somehow turned him in Ade Akinbiyi in front of goal!

....actually, it's not funny, it's downright fucking abysmal!

I voted other because there is no one factor. Although I would add Sandro to the list because he has seriously been missed this season and of course the 2nd half of last season. I fear his combative style will result in him being unable to start enough games a season.

Soldado and Lamela considering how much we've spent on them have been so short of the quality you would expect. The bigger question though is whether we're the right team for them. Soldado can not play as a lone striker but we have so much depth in midfield it's difficult to play 4-4-2. Lamela loves to play infield but we lose width as a result.

The most depressing thing about this season is the fact that we look so good on paper. we have some great players but we don't seem to know what to do with them. A great manager would do wonders with this squad.

As eluded to earlier, only THFC could have a thread like this. Not knocking the OP as I think it's actually a very relevant thread if not very depressing. Just shows what an utter abomination of a season it has been for one that promised so much
What did it promise? A top 4 chase.

What are we doing? Chasing top 4.

Simplistic, neglects the clusterfuck, but shows it ain't that bad.

In true Tottenham fashion a seemingly complete collection of poll options only seems to bring up more questions that answers.

And if Spurs don’t make it? “I can’t say anything about that so let’s see after the end of the season and after the World Cup,” said Vertonghen.

Vertonghen leaving is quite depressing too.

Bentelab isn't English though - neither by birth nor hertitage and I am not even sure if its true that he could have chosen to play for England, wasn't that a misconception like when people thought Giggs could?

I am sure he didn't qualify to play for England due to having not been here long enough from a young enough age

Anyway you spin it he really isn't English though - he wasn't born here, didn't learn his trade soley here and now he's representing a different country

Yep, feel the same. It was between him and Lamela for me, but I went with Bobby because Lamela is very young and seen as a prospect. We brought Soldado in as the finished article hoping he'd bang them in. I can only hope that this time next year he's settled, scoring regularly and we're reading articles of him laughing off his first season of English football as one to forget.
