As I suspected, we didn't recall him, he won't be part of our squad and he's off on loan to another Championship side. They're lower down the table than Middlesborough but at least he might get more game time :). Pete O'Rourke is a Sky Sports guy by the way.

Tottenham's Milos Veljkovic is poised to join Charlton on loan until the end of the season. #THFC #CAFC

Well then. Quite honestly thought he might see some playing time this term. Good luck to him and hopefully it works out.

FFS I thought it was a transfer!
Charlton lost 5 of their last 6 and their last game 5-0.
Don't get this one.

He'll be playing in that team as a DM/CB, if anything this makes perfect sense in that context, as he'll be getting more experience performing the fundamental actions involved with playing in those positions while he's playing for a struggling team. Plus, he's very likely to get good game time there and that's very important for his development

Although I wanted him back, if he was to go out on loan this is the type of place to put him. They're desperate for a player with his skills, he's almost guaranteed to play every minute of the remaining games - still in the championship so it's decent experience.

First team for him next year though - it has to be.

The thing to remember about Veljkovic is that he's very young.

People talk about him in the same breath as Carroll, Pritchard, Fredericks and Archer etc., but he's actually 3-4 years younger than them.

Not ready for first team yet, struggled for games at boro. Good move for him will certainly be tested in a charlton team that, has lost a lot of games lately

don't think boro's very good form was expected !.. thus milos not getting the game time up there!.. if it aint broke etc!!
saw him early season a couple of times in the u/21's and his talent and composure was evident..
struggle to see how some people think going on loan to a lower championship side is a minus.. fantastic oppourtunity
for milos to stick out like a sore thumb.. the kids hugely talented.. not often at any prem club you see a kid of 19 thrown
in at the deep end anymore.. we've got a bunch of hugely talented kids winks, onhuma, milos, dominic ball etc..coming of age!.
not including those on loan already.

Milos just needs to ask Mason and Kane, if going out on numerous loans to lesser sides is a necessarily a bad thing as far as your Spurs career is concerned. At his age getting big game experience in front of big crowds is what matters most.

I thought both Mason and Kane had a number of poor loan spells (or is that your point?)? I remember Mason toiling at Doncaster and getting packed off to France. And Kane not doing very well at Leicester and Norwich.

Townsend, Walker and Rose are probably who he needs to chat to. Townsend in particular worked his way all the way through the leagues IIRC.

Yep. (y)

All about gaining experience, and playing in front of the crowds.

Go to charlton quite a lot as ive round there and I would be surprised if he's a regular starter at either cb as they have Ben haim and bikey who despite popular belief are two very solid championship cb's and CDM they have a number of decent championship level players like buyens and cousins. I often feel people on this forum feel that spurs loanees have a divine right to walk into any lower league side and be their star player. Seen a bit of vejkovic and while I think he could wind up making the spurs first team I feel it's too early to expect him to become a regular at an under performing championship club where experience and ruggedness in pretty vital in turning the tide.

They might have decent players but their form is cack, 5 consecutive losses, haven't won since 8 November (!!), and just got smashed 5-0 by Watford. If they don't ask serious questions of their defense they are going to go down. None of our loanees should ever expect to walk into a championship side, but Veljkovic will certainly have a chance if he impresses.
