That doesn't mean Skriniar is signing for us. If you compare this evidence to the fact Skriniar started for Inter today, the balance of probabilities is much more in favour of him staying at Inter.
And Pezzella is close to leaving Fiorentina

No but this isn't an out of the blue coincidental move as word earlier in the week was that inter wanted the Fiorentina player to replace Skrinier and Fiorentina were trying to buy this player to replace the one they're losing to Inter, it's a chain.
Now I don't know if that was true but it so the first part has been ticked off the list so the argument that Inter won't sell because they haven't got a replacement may not hold water.
If you believe Skrinier wouldn't happen without this you must be a little more optimistic.

People really don’t think CB is a big issue for this team?
It’s not that. It’s just that it’s unlikely we’d rebuild the squad in a single window. It’s clear Mourinho is looking to strengthen in this area but we might have to wait another window
