Unlike previous windows, current deadwoods are sellable.
Foyth has offers. Rose is tricky but am sure we will find one. CCV will have offers. Aurier has couple of offers.
One way or other, we should be able to move them on in coming week or so.

Unsurprisingly we need to move some players on before we can push ahead with targets.

I just don't believe in the order of these articles. I get Dan is close to the club, but surely he understands that what matters is the squad and balance sheet at the end of the window, not the order it happens during the window.

If we're comfortable and confident that the 'deadwood' will be moved on and clubs are interested, then the club will crack on for the next target. We won't sit there waiting and waiting until someone has been sold.

no idea how to embed tweets, but just saw the athletic are saying, jose still wants THREE more signings after milik & skriniar. a playmaker, a DM and another CB.

now if ( and a massive if) that happens, we have undoubtedly had an injection of cash.
No chance that happens imo.

Levy might have changed but he hasn't changed into Harry redknapp.

IF we are looking to swap, I'd be happy for Sessegnon to go there for a year on loan. I think him playing as a wingback under Conte would be brilliant.

Otherwise, thanks for the memories Lucas Moura but its time to go!

Doubt he'd get any more playing time there than here.

Amazed by this window. I guess JM is the first manager DL/Enic truly believe in judged by their backing so far. Feel bad for Poch and what could’ve been

I love Poch and here is not the place for this discussion but, as has been pointed out numerous times before, successive failures in the transfer market while Poch was here were partly down to him. It wasn’t all on Levy. Jose is clearly being significantly more pragmatic, prolific and flexible in his choices - thereby making Levy’s job easier.

I think there’s also an element of unfortunate timing for Poch - his entire time here coinciding with the stadium project coming to fruition, along with the inevitable constraints it placed on spending.

Poch was just unlucky with the timing. Our turnover has skyrocketed during the spell Poch was manager, especially commercial and matchday (pre covid). Plus we no longer have the stadium to fund (in that the project is now complete and financing locked in). That said we owe him a huge debt as his success on the pitch has been key in elevating us to the level we are at today.

He actually got his main three targets last window and almost got Dybala, unfortunately I think he had checked out mentally at that point.

Difference is Jose is more flexible though. Look how many players we are talking to. With Poch it was player X or no one.

Seems to me that Jose has done the same to Levy as he did to Ndombele and Alli. Daniel has lost his seat at Mourinho’s breakfast table because he hasn’t been performing. Just like Ndombele is now impressing in training, Levy is now impressing in the transfer market. I’m not sure Poch could have got the same reaction out of Levy.

In all seriousness afterwards people will say Mourinho only succeeds when he gets to spend money but surely there is a skill to getting all these chairmen to spend for him because no other coach would have the same impact.

Dan pouring some cold water on things. If it's sell to buy then nothing will likely happen until the last week. Maybe Hitchen was there to convince the player and discuss potential deal options with Inter but never with the intention to close a deal right now?

I hope I'm wrong of course!
I know ITK suggests otherwise but I can't see anything getting done until deadline day considering there's still been no significant outs and Levy always likes the pressure on other clubs to sell later on in the window to drive prices down.

The Jose factor and our ridiculous schedule right now are the only thing stopping me from fully agreeing on this. If I was a betting man I would bet on our next deal being over a week away though.
