Another leader to add to the squad according to Wiki (sorry):

Škriniar has been described as a defender who is "a strong tackler who is quick to make clearances".[13] A natural centre-back, he can also be deployed as a defensive midfielder where he also produced outstanding performances with under-21 side.[22] His former youth manager said of him: He [Škriniar] has always been the leader on and off the pitch.[22] He has been described in the media as the successor to former Liverpool icon Martin Škrtel in Slovakia's defensive line.[23] He has also drawn praise from several Italian pundits for his positional sense, as well as his ability in the air, and in one on one situations.[24]

Obviously Jose is a huge pull for players and he can attract the best stars on his own. However I do wonder when you see the likes of Bale joining, when you see a talent like Reggie joining does it suddenly turn a few more heads and start attracting talents to the team. I mean I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have been Skriniars first choice this summer but when you start to see the team we're assembling, maybe he starts to think, yeah I want to get in on that.

Don’t forget the opportunity to play teams like Shkendija.

Claims to be a deputy sports editor with 20 years of experience yet a quick google of his name throws up no results. Plus he joined Twitter in July 2020.

Reliable imo

Genuinely think he's a WUM pretending to be a sports journo. The way he talks is not like a journalist with over 20 years experience, but like how those twitter ITK folk talk. Also doesn't have his own articles but links ones done by "Editor" who quote him as being a ex sports editor

The best thing about this link is to finally be in contention for a defender that just loves to defend. There appears far too many in football that seem to think that they are deep lying midfielders. Personally for a CB, I want a big, horrible, nasty defender who just takes pride in the defending part of the game.

Is Skriniar really that slow?

Not really. But Back 4 suits him more than back3. I don't think he was able to cover the space left by fullbacks - affected his game. We have to look at him Pre-Conte and Post Conte. Pre Conte - he was seen one of the best young CBs in Europe playing in back 4 system. Now ,people are doubting him.
IMO , he is quite good. He is also quite good on ball, has played in DM role in the past...including against Kane,Dele,Dier in WC18 qualifiers at Wembley. Jose is a back4 manager - so should suit him well
