Although the numbers do seem to show Dean has made big errors in several of our games over the years since he 'celebrated' Dembele's goal, I can't help but think it's also the poor standard of our referees now. Few tournaments ago one of ours reffed a major international final, last summer we had none. You could probably go through every game this season and pick out more errors than correct calls. I honestly cannot think of one referee that I'd be happy to officiate our matches.

I know a lot of people don't like it, and I feel it needs a lot of work, but VAR is needed to assist the ineptitude of our referees. The time it takes to make a decision will get lesser and lesser with experience. It'll eventually become second nature. They should get a pre season with it, training etc.

The simple fact is that Sky/BT now have multiple cameras at every significant match. In the past we weren't treated to replays of contentious decisions from all sorts of angles and we had to accept Ref's decisions because we couldn't often see any more than them. Now, everything is analysed under the microscope and although we have the technology to help Refs make the right call, it's not yet used until it can be made more workable. I wouldn't mind a system like they use in cricket where each team gets a couple of chances to review a decision, or at least I think it would be worth giving it a trial. On the subject of Mike Dean though, it must be hard for him to see anything much with his head so far up his own arse.

Im agreeing with your last comment. I hate the idea of reviews. They'll be used in the wrong way by managers in trying to gain an advantage somehow.

How will they use it to gain an advantage if it leads to more correct decisions?

Regarding review suggestion. The DRS doesn't always work in cricket. ie stokes watsed the second and final one on Friday then Curran was given out lbw when he wasn't and no reviews left. Don't think it would work on football either. What we need is the Rugby League type video ref on a big fuck off screen in the ground.

I'm glad poch is trying to brush this all under the carpet. We have to focus on two big games and he knows he doesn't want all the attention this week to be about him and mike dean.

That’s shit. Poch needs to be more like Mourinho. Stick it to them. We need a wild streak. We need some bloody anger. We need some balls.

Dean removed from being the 4th official for tomorrow's match, Poch gets punished however he apologises and brushes it under the carpet, whatever way you want to look at it Poch comes out looking better and Dean comes out looking like a cnut.

we also don't need this to get so bad that other refs fuck us over, because 1 of their mates messed up, then see Poch as grassing him up

Never mind us not wanting Dean to officiate us again in the near future at least. I'm quite enjoying the chants coming his way when he does. He's gonna get it for the duration, flat out ref bashing.

He's certainly not going to be in a rush to officiate us anytime soon, especially not at home.

He'd love it. He's pure pantomime.

dont remember that but I knew someone would recall a decision of his against us.

Don't remember it? I still get sleepless nights. 2 nil up at Old Trafford and cruising only for Webb to give Utd an undeserved penalty leading to a lifeline for Utd and an eventual 5-2 win.
