Jose wants a cup like the rest of us

He knows we have a better chance of winning the cup than getting into the top 4. He also knows a trophy in his first season will be an achievement that no other spurs manager has managed since the great Juande Ramos.

Could be an number of lineups

Gazzaniga
Aurier Alderweireld Vertonghen Sessegnon
Dier Winks
Lucas Dele Eriksen
Son

Gazzaniga
Alderweireld Dier Vertonghen
Aurier Eriksen Winks Sessegnon
Lucas Son Dele

Gazzaniga
Aurier Alderweireld Dier Vertonghen
Winks Eriksen
Lucas Dele Sessegnon
Son

Probably be an amalgamation of the above depending on who is in possession, how the match evolves etc. Either way, even without Kane it’s a very attacking line up but relatively balanced to.

Cant win can he? Play the youth and he's not taking it seriously and gets slatted for doing so. Dont play the youth and Its why isnt he giving them a chance.
We saw against Colchester what happens when you take liberties.
Probably why JM has won more trophoes in the last few years than we have this century.
Tanganga in place of dier or skipp in place of winks really wouldn't draw that much criticism would it?. Just be nice to see a fresh face or 2.

Disappointed Sanchez is not starting given how poor Toby and Verts were last time out.

Makes sense. League is done, top 4 at best. Thats not glory. Thats a footnote in the history books. Winning something is what its about for me.
It doesnt help when you're trying to bring players to the club that you havent won anything in over 10 years.
Tempting players with CL football isnt as good as a realistic chance of a trophy imo.
Players look back at their careers in terms of what they won not league positions.

Except retaining CL is absolutely massive. It’s imperative we somehow get top 4.

Last time Dier played CB for us against Sheffield United he could barely complete a forward pass up to our midfielders that resulted in conceding breaks high up the pitch. Problem to watch.

We have struggled in recent years when we change it up too much, Colchester, Newport spring to mind

How many times will BT mention that Woodgate scored the winner last time we won a trophy?

Be interesting to see how Winks plays knowing he has someone behind him so he can go forward a bit more.

Mines on tenners on Dele from outside the area at 20/1 and a Moura header at 14/1 with a cheeky fiver saver on Son from outside the area at 13/2. Another pony spunked up the wall.
I'd have given you 30/1 on Dele from there, free money.

I've bought total goals at 3.1 for £50/goal, and Son's total goal minutes at 28 for £7/goal. Haven't bet on the spreads for ages, I'll probably remember why in a couple of hours.
