Assuming you're trying to be funny?

Otherwise that's a shitty comment.

People's opinions...

 maybe I was being a bit of a "little dick" yesterday. I get annoyed when people underrate other players, like Lamela, Jan, Lloris or whoever - so maybe I shouldn't wade into threads and slander other Spurs players. I won't be waiting to come in and say "I told you so" like others do with Lamela or Dier, I really hope Gazzaniga shuts me up tbf.

If fully fit and non-rusty, I’d prefer Vorm in goal given his experience with Swansea where he was excellent and he was pretty decent for us when covering.

Nothing against Gazzaniga, just that Vorm is a bit more experienced.

But whoever plays best out of the two should play and hopefully Vorm being here will get Gazzaniga to up his game to keep spot.

No thanks. I was filled with dread when I saw Vorm starting last season.

Bench option only, happy to have got someone in but we need to show confidence in Gazzaniga, just as we showed confidence in promoting him to no.2 this year.

They're both pretty shitty options TBH.

Vorm looked past it in the matches he started last season, Watford and Inter away being cases in point. I don't know if he's carrying a chronic injury of some sort, but he's more often than not looked rooted to the spot when conceding.

The lack of support for Gazzaniga before he’s even had a run is ridiculous.

He played three premier league matches last season, only conceded twice, made 0 recorded errors leading to goals, and made 11 saves. He’s clearly not awful. In fact, going past stats and relying on just my eyes, he made a few very good saves (one exceptional save on his debut I remember), was good on crosses and decent with his feet too.

He’s in between the sticks for at least 3 months so try supporting him.

He was in great form last season but from the summer on so far, he’s left much to be desired, and that might be an understatement. We’ll see how he does with a run of games.

Bringing back Vorm makes perfect sense. If Gazzaniga gets hurt or sent off, we’re really going to trust Whiteman who hasnt played an actual game of football in a very long time? Honestly, this is just a byproduct of our youth policy and loans being absolutely shocking, to say the least. A long, hard look is needed at our policy. Having players toil away in first team training with no game time and no loans is not setting anyone up for success.

Although Chelsea have been forced into using their youth players now you can see how the likes of Mount, Loftus-Cheek, James have all benefited in terms of their ability with loans.

It's not all about loans there are other ways too eg...Harry Winks came right through the system, Rashford and i believe in the past Steven Gerrard.

Yeah it's a balance, you'll got those rare players who can step up right away from youth level and hopefully for us it's Skipp and Parrott. However others needed loans such as KWP. If they're too good for youth level but not quite ready to be trusted then the loan bridges the gap.

We needed someone to come in to provide cover. The number of free agents with experience of playing in the PL and in European competition* must be very short. Bringing in a known quantity who can be trusted to integrate with the squad pretty much immediately makes a lot of sense and I'm happy enough to have him back in the short term.

*I understand he won't be eligible to play in CL games for us, just illustrating the level of experience he brings to the table.

If he has some intangible qualities within the dressing room as a man everyone likes and keeps order then he can be a shrewd return without ever having to play --- because his last few games for us were absolutely tragic to watch. He was once a great shot stopper but practically every goal he conceded by the end he was rooted to the spot. He will hopefully be a glorified coach.

Think Vorm signing could be the one that kickstarts our season!

Poch can’t say he hasn’t been backed

And Hugo hasn't been shocking lately?
The World Cup Final and his two recent catastrophes for us......not sure I've ever seen a top keeper do that.
None of them are good enough to be first choice for us. I don't think we will be able to get one in January, but in the summer we need to be looking at a keeper. Lloris makes an error every 3 or 4 games now. The bar has been raised and I don't think he's up to it anymore.

Everyone makes mistakes from time to time but this has been going on for years with him now, we need somebody who can make the crucial saves without throwing balls into their own net at the same time.

My memory might be failing me, but he's always been the type to save the miracle saves for irrelevant games, and make mistakes in important ones. If so, it's definitely a mental thing, and one unlikely to be fixed (much like Karius).

We probably need a taller goalkeeper then.
