I've followed him for 3 seasons very close while he played for HJK Helsinki (FIN). He was their engine and soul and HJK had huge difficulties replacing him after he joined Partizan Belgrad. During his time with HJK he won 2 top division titles, Finnish Cup and the League cup. He has good pace, solid passing shooting (13 goals for 91 games, most of them long range).

I haven't followed his progress after he left Finland but from what I've read, he has been in starting 11 for most of Partizans games (also played in CL/ EL) and been a very solid performer, he's reading of the play and tackling has developed massively.

In overall a very good CM/DM but still difficult to imagine him to challenge Sandro, Huddlestone or Parker.

Yep, could perhaps make it at PL, but not with us. Just not upper tier material.

REAL MADRID | TRANSFERS
Medo Kamara the latest player in the Modric saga
Daniel Levy sees Partizan Belgrade's African midfielder as a suitable replacement for the Croat.

E. F. Abascal | 08/08/2012

There's a new player in the Modric saga. He is Medo Kamara, a 24-year old Partizan Belgrade midfielder. AS has found out that Tottenham, and more specifically their chairman Daniel Levy, have set their sights on Kamara as a replacement for Modric. The player has been highly recommended to Levy by Avram Grant, ex-coach of Chelsea and currently in charge at Partizan. Last season he played 35 matches and played a key role in winning the league title. But Villas-Boas remains very interested in Moutinho, despite the 40 million euros that Porto are asking for him.

Levy is trying to convince his coach that Kamara is the best option with two arguments: firstly, that he would cost half the price of Moutinho (around 20 million), and also that the club which is making the most noise about signing the African midfielder is none other than Porto. They see him as a perfect replacement for Moutinho.

If Levy succeeds in persuading Villas-Boas, it would help smooth the way for Modric to go to Madrid. The chairman of the North London club is still asking for 45 million, though the lower cost of the signing of the Partizan midfielder could encourage him to relax his position. Madrid's offer remains at 30 million plus bonuses.

Valencia. Tottenham are travelling to Valencia this afternoon ahead of a match tomorrow against 'los che', and they'll do it without Modric. The Croat, who was at the Olympic Games yesterday watching his country take on Spain in handball, should continue to train alone as he waits for the problems surrounding his future to be resolved. Hugo Lloris, Lyon goalkeeper, is also dependent on what happens here: "When Modric closes his signing for Madrid, Lloris will go to Tottenham; we're waiting", said the agent of the French keeper.

Essentially we have out-Portoed Porto. We're going for the "hipster" approach - i.e. buy the New Moutinho rather than the Old Moutinho.

Not sure if I like it but it is a shrewd move by Levy.
