Norwich are reportedly demanding £18m for him. As one of England & the Premier League's hottest young prospects, in a position we desperately need to improve, this should be a no brainer for us.

...especially when we're reportedly looking at a CB in the Chinese Super League for £15m [when we already have 5 CBs tied down on long term deals].

This video changes my mind. id said earlier his stock had dropped, but he’s clearly doing a lot of things right.
I liked the idea of Castagne as well, but I can’t see us selling serge now, and his commitment since his bereavement might make us less keen to make him available, which I can understand.

A few EPL Stats for this season to highlight that even though Aurier has more assists and puts in more crosses, Aarons is a lot more accurate and creates more chances, despite playing in a poor side.

Aarons (36 games)

Big chances created 7
Crosses 73
Cross accuracy 22%

Aurier (33 games)

Big chances created 4
Crosses 137
Cross accuracy 15%
What about tackles won

It might be that Serge wants to go back to France to be closer to family? I would assume that if someone like Marseille or Monaco came in for him, he’d be interested.

Could very well be.

Not sure those clubs would be able/willing to pay anywhere near what Levy likely would want though.

Doesn't say anything of interest really. Bidding would start at £20m is the only transfer snippet.

How little they know.....

What about tackles won
Aurier 2.8 Aarons 1.3 a game, but in crosses blocked, Aurier has 0.4 a game and Aarons 0.7.

Tackles per game is misleading anyway, so much is down to style of the teams, and tackles per game tends to show more of how teams set up than anything else, so you normally need to contextualise it with those numbers. Kyle Walker is the lowest in the league for tackles per game in his position. What does that really say?

In terms of tackle percentage Aurier has 76% and Aarons has 72%.

I like Aarons a lot, he looks like a young Danny Rose to me. Super tenacious, not soft by any means. He is 20 though, and makes mistakes, but for a 20 year old he is exceptional. Some people question if he is better than KWP. Now I think he is, but more than that, Aarons is so young, He is born in the same year as Oliver Skipp and is a year younger than Tanganga, yet some people are judging him as if he is some established pro. KWP is 23 and is already a player who is on a different stage of his development.

This is Aaron's 2nd season as a pro. Not as a starter, but as a footballer. He made his debut last season. Walker at his age was out on loan at Sheffield Utd in the Championship. Rose on loan at Bristol, still nominally a winger. These two players then spent years being criticised as not good enough until, you know, developing in a very normal positive way for players their age.

People take time to grow, you cannot judge a 20 year old in the same way as a 24 year old. As someone which works with teenagers and young adults you really see this. But people sometimes are far to quick to judge and just expect people to be 'perfect' as soon as they start playing regular games.

With Aarons, yes, think about the player he is. But, more than that, we need think about the player he could be. Aarons has loads of room to grow, and you can see how he can develop and if he has the right attitude I would be shocked if he doesn't become a full international minimum. There is a reason he is linked with Bayern, it's not what he is now, it's that he has a lot of potential and elements of his play suggest he could develop into a top top fullback.

Ally said he doesn’t have confirmation of it but based on what he’s hearing, he thinks Aarons is priority at RB with homegrown quota playing a role also.

I think the club like him but Mourinho is worried about his height. Maybe the manager needs convincing or we will go in another direction?

Should be doing Celik & Aaron’s at RB and just leave Tanganga as the 4th CB instead of buying Kim and playing Tanganga at RB.

If it’s Aurier, Foyth and KWP out then we would need 2 new right backs. I wouldn’t be surprised if we signed both.
