Personally think if we sell Aurier then it needs to be Aarons and another right-back - and I don't think Aarons is ready to be our first-choice.

As far as the transfer market goes, Tottenham will listen to offers for Serge Aurier at the end of the season and hope to replace him with Norwich’s Max Aarons, though Mourinho is understood to have reservations that he is too small. But even if a deal for Aarons is possible, he will not be a panacea for a defence that has been shaky for coming up to two years now.

I'm not sure Aarons is good enough if I'm being honest.

I just don’t get the Aarons hype. Extremely small. Not that great defensively. Honestly not sure he’s any better than KWP.

If only we had an actual scouting department that could uncover good players in other leagues.

I think he's got all the natural attributes to do well in a functional team, but we don't have one of those. Anybody would look iffy in that awful Norwich team. Wouldn't be averse to giving KWP a chance, but he hasn't got the explosive pace I like in a full-back like Aarons does.

I would LOVE that - not only because I think he is a good player but because he would be the first NI international I've had the pleasure of watching for Spurs for a very long time.

I see him like i do Sessegnon.
Potentially a star but not a top 4 starter yet.
KWP back for me and give him a proper chance.

I think they both could be starters IF we had a good solid core. 2 CDM destroyers and 2 solid CB. Let them bomb up the wings with lo Celso, ndombele and bergwijn playing behind kane

KWP is not the answer - he may become a decent squad option but he will never be good enough to be a regular starter in my opinion - not for us anyway. Would any other top 6 side play him as right back?

if he’s 5’10 I’m 7 feet tall. I bet they list his weight at 180 too. he might be 145 soaking wet. Slight probably would have been a better word choice. He’s still young so he might fill out, I just don’t think the guy is worth a premium price as he’s at a severe physical disadvantage.

he’s not shown me anything this year that says he’s a top 6 quality EPL starting right back, so I’d rather the scouts do a little more work.

all that said, the youth and energy and having someone other than Serge would still be well worth it.

Honestly if he now shines at Saints and our coach is fine with his development why not take him as a Squad player next season and give him a fair share of games.
I hope we do not keep Aurier and then we would need two Right Backs probably. And due to Corona our funds will be super limited.

If only Dest from Ajax was English and HG. He’d be the one I’d look at. Alas, he’s dutch. So Aarons is by default the RB to look for.

Those who are watching Championship - Aarons 18/19 or Bogle 19/20?
Looks like he's the most popular alternative for people who doesn't rate Aarons

Aaron’s will be a top signing hope we get him ! In fact I’d go for him and Lewis in a double bid
