Is his name pronounced “ahh-rons” or “arrons”.

Of course David Pleat will pronounce it “Awe-roons” or something, regardless, but it’s good to lay down a marker with us fans early doors to avoid another “Levvy” “Leavey” situation.

Or that Foyth will be back up RB.
I have read various reports that although Jose likes Foyth he feels he is not quick enough to play the role he likes his right back plays . Pretty much the only reason that aurier plays every game for us

That seems strange when he used to play Ivanovic at RB, but it could well be true as Foyth hasn't played there yet. I feel a bit sorry for Foyth this season. He cut his honeymoon short for us as he wanted to take his chance to get in the team, he gets injured and now it seems that he's well down the pecking order again.

I agree but that’s football I’m afraid.

I haven’t really seen anything special from Aaron’s. I’d rather get Ferguson or Bogle who both would be much cheaper and use the funds saved to spend on a top class DM.

I'd really rather we didn't risk missing out on yet another top home grown talent who both fulfills an urgent need in our squad and whose value has a good chance of skyrocketing over the next 18 months

I think that’s more a case of Jose doesn’t play with out and out wingers now when he plays son and moura they tend to play more inside come no off Kane.

Agree.

Or he could be another Clyne or Callum Chambers.

I dont think we should pay out of our boots for him. 30m seems a lot for a player who haven’t shown THAT much - yet.

First time poster (long time lurker) so go easy on me.

But isn't this the same principle that stopped us getting the likes of Maddison? Aarons has been brilliant for Norwich for the last 2 years and 30 million doesn't seem *that* much in this day and age.

For 30 million I would be delighted to get him in.

Maddison wanted more playing time than we were going to give him as far as I remember. ITK have said recently we could have had him but Poch didn't want him. Who knows.

Welcome.

Define brilliant? In the Championship maybe. I haven’t seen enough of him in the PL, but he doesn’t stand out when I have watched Norwich.

It’s not like I’m against the transfer at all. But is he going right in the team and improving us, better than Aurier already? I wouldn’t say so. Potential? Absolutely.

Laughable

He's not making better ofensive stats at the best team in the league than Aurier for us, his defending abilities isn't better than Aurier(he even has a lot better defensive stats per90min). Barca fans would rather play Roberto at RB than Semedo.

Good thing matches are decided by stats instead of what happens on the pitch then....

How do they calculate the stat for being 30 yards behind the play when the other team scores?

Sometimes you have to take a risk, and I don’t think we can afford not to.

You could have said the same about Maguire and Robertson who were in the back 4 of a Hull side which got relegated and... well...

Semedo really isn't all that. Roberto, a central midfielder, is a stronger RB for them. Like Aurier, he can look useful going forward... but he wouldn't be an upgrade.

Have you actually watched him? He is far better defensively then he is in attack. He would be a good addition but we would need our LB to be very attacking if we continue to set up the way we have been.
