Lmao. The arrogance of some to think we can just poach him from a job he started 3 months ago when his team has a home World Cup next year.

The time to bring him back was either the summers we brought in Nuno or Ange. He won’t be coming back now.
Most of us want him. None of us know how possible it is. The USA jobs seemed pretty left field at the time and he love’s London. So we are hoping he would. Let’s face it, we don’t have a clue if Levy would even go for him.

We weren't happy with "just" qualifying for Europe. We had qualified 5 seasons in a row, finishing 4-5-4-5-6 which had led Redknapp, AVB and Sherwood out of their jobs.
Yea we were. The expectations were never challenged for the title or top 4. Top 4 was a bonus

He's not going to leave the USA job one year before a home World Cup.

We can talk about this in 18 months when we are sacking the next manager.

I think he would leave in a heartbeat. He has no emotional ties to the US. This is not a squad that is expected to make a deep run at the World Cup. It’s a job. People leave jobs all the time.

The real question is not whether Poch would come, it is whether Levy would pay to make it happen. We all know the answer to that one.

I don't believe Poch would ditch the US so soon even if he wanted to come back. Probably might regret taking the job but I don't think he's the kind of guy who will go back on his word of leading the US in a home World Cup.

Saving us from relegation might tug on the heart strings though

Guys I get that we had some amazing times with Poch and I loved him when he was here. I'm just not convinced that he is the best option. Rarely does going back to shag an ex work out for long and it could ruin our memories of those good times. There are some good mangers in the PL at the moment that could well want to come to us in the summer.

As other have also said I can't see him ditching the US a few months into the job. We had our chance to bring him back but went with Ange.

Pay him, be willing to support him and he comes in my opinion. Money talks and Spurs is in his blood

Sorry but where is this "willing to support him" coming from? Name me a Spurs manager that these owners have supported? He knows better than anyone that Levy isn't that man and never will be, well unless its someone elses money maybe but even then he won't be able to resit sticking his oar in and fucking it up.

Personally I think managing the US at a home world cup is basically one of the best jobs available in football. Their world cup is going to be huge. Can't see him ditching that to her screwed by Levy again.

Why are the two options only ever A) whoever we have in charge currently, or B) Pochettino?

His stint at Chelsea showed me that I was wrong to say his style would come unstuck against coaches today compared to 7-10 years ago.

He did superb second half of last season.

The key factor though is that we have a squad that suits his methods.

But yeah Levy won't do it and Poch would need a lot of convincing.

Yet every manager succeeding in what you said was let go.
Harry literally asked for the England job publicly, and was telling everyone Modric is going. Of course he had to go.

Jose and Conte were signing players to be horseshit football. AVB I genuinely can't remember why he was sacked. I thought he wasn't backed when he got injuries with Sandro.

But Poch had us playing great football and getting us close to league and UCL wins. If you can't see that difference, then maybe show when those other managers got closer. Some of them had Modric and Bale - UCL legends.

Honestly, the timing is almost perfect for this to play out.

Jose, Conte and Poch's football is not relevant to the point.
