Is Vecino a DM?

Watched a couple of YouTube reels, and initially they seemed to show him winning posession a fair bit, then striding forward. So I thought deep lying, but may be more box to box.
Then saw some comments from an Inter fan, described him as functional, not fantastic. Said he’s the sort of player who the team may miss more than the fans/management. It said he’s decent technically, but can be a little clumsy on the ball. Decent strength, but not the quickest. He was described as a player who doesn’t always appear to do a massive amount worth selection, but generally plays a lot, and is capable of scoring key goals, but equally frustrating.
Wasn’t an overwhelming review.

Everyone needs to stop believing every rumour the rag print. JJ said we wasn’t even interested in ze luis. Agents know we are after signings so we are probably being offered everyone teams are trying to get rid of.

If would be good if people could elaborate on why he’s so shit. What attributes does he lack, what games did you see him doing anything really bad that cost his team, is he unfit, have a bad mentality etc etc.

he lacks a football brain. He do not seem to grasp tactics and mainly just aimlesly runs around in the middle of the park.

Hello, I posted about Vecino a week ago when the links first came about. Here is my detailed analysis on the player if you are interested:

Just to reiterate again and summarize quickly, he is an attacking box-to-box, definitely not a DM.

PROS:
- physical, energetic, fast, not afraid to get stuck into tackles, covers lots of km's, amazing stamina
- good forward runs with the ball
- good in the air, has a knack for scoring big goals
- shows up for big games
- very direct, gets the ball and tries to shift momentum offensively straight away
- very good in offensive transitioning and timing runs into attacking spaces
- excellent in open and end-to-end games with lots of space
- good option coming off the bench as a direct, physical midfield option

CONS:
- quite poor technically, can be clumsy
- despite scoring in big matches, he's not a natural finisher
- undisciplined at times as he likes to attack and can get caught out of position defensively
- due to his role in transition, he can lose the ball a lot from time to time
- lacks finesse against teams who defend with 11 men behind the ball (in these tight games the most he can do is play the ball out wide then run in to the box and wait for a cross)

Hope that helps ? He is not as bad as many of you make him out to be. I have watched every game of his, both club and national, since he joined Inter. He can be frustrating but when used correctly he can be a very effective option. Overall, he's a great addition to a squad and I prefer we kept him to be honest. I think he will do well at Spurs if the deal goes through.

Wrong player. Brozovic is the one we should be enquiring about

Brozovic would be a great buy for Spurs. He dictates games from deep and possesses an insane work rate. However, he is arguably Inter's most important player and I think the club has zero interest in selling him. He would also cost no less than €60m.
