It doesn't sound like this link has legs, as links only appearing in Italy. But interesting nonetheless.

Chepstow Times has responded to the news about Allegri and FDB by claiming that Avonspurs is the new favourite to replace Tim Sherwood.

Who the fuck is this Allegri geezer apart from I'm guessing a good mate of the amazing Frank (what the fuck have I done of any use whatsoever since I've been at Spurs) Baldini!!!!

De Boer seems a better bet. Of course it's not done until it's done but this is starting to make sense. Levy thought he could get De Boer when he sacked AVB, got stuck with Sherwood who he never really wanted, then the leak about the new manager comes out when Levy thinks he's got his man. Next question is he the right man and what happens if we start badly?

I reckon it would be easier to nominate someone who we aren't linked to.

Can the 'tottenham way' stop quoting fucking 'tuttomercato' it is like quoting clubcall. It is an Italian news site which relies on writing transfer rumours as a way to get page views. It doesn't even pretend to do otherwise.

The 'corriere dello sport' might have some validity on it (might not either) but it is old news before the De Boer stuff came out.

Allegri seems to have taken Milan backwards, and the style of football they have been playing under his tenure has been shameful compared to the Milan of old. He might be a good manager (or else I guess he would never have been appointed by Milan in the first place), but I have a much better feeling about De Boer and an Ajax-style setup.
