We were saddened to hear of the death of our former captain Martin Peters who passed away this morning at the age of 76.

I had the pleasure of meeting Martin a number of times at various functions. A true gent. I loved the way he would ghost in to head a goal. Rest in peace. Proper legend.

Great player and ahead of his time as the old quote used to say. There was a time when I thought Dele Alli could become our modern day Martin Peters. He has lost something from his game and while he is still a top player I don't think he will ever hit the heights we all expected when he first came through. Would love to be proved wrong.
