The name Marcus Edwards may ring a bell amongst some Spurs fans.

Back in 2006, the 25-year-old joined Tottenham’s academy, earning a reputation as one of the brightest talents in English football.

i would love him back,

i dont think he would be the right player, but he would be entertainment and improve our attack

Some Spurs fans may have heard of Marcus Edwards! We waited for the second coming of Messi for half a decade!

I still think he'd be more suited to what we want of our wide players than both Johnson and Deki.
I think it's important to have a variety of player profiles.
Having Johnson is good if you have a Perisic or a winger that runs at the opposition on the opposite side.

How couldn't he be the right player? Isn't him the new Messi or something?

He'd be a great option in comparison to Solomon that's for sure.

Perhaps we could send Solomon to Sporting and take him

Edwards would offer an alternative choice for packed defenses than most of what we got now.

edit: Don't know if his work rate is strong enough though.

Johnson is exactly what we want for our wide players in Ange’s system. He has pace, crosses and score goals. Any suggestion otherwise is daft.

Werner, Johnson and Son are all what Ange wants.

Neither Werner nor Johnson are the type of winger who from a standing start will face up their man and dribble past them. Werner moves well off the ball but naturally wants to come in on his right, Johnson is fast and gets on the end of balls slipped behind the opponents back line but it's not his natural game to receive the ball and attack his man.

When I think of the type of final third winger that we want I think more of players like Doku, Kvara, Williams etc. Players who when they receive the ball make that first movement towards their opponent and have them backpedalling,

That’s how you want us to play rather than who is right for Ange

Average player. Other than the benefits of being classified as home grown and club trained, there’s nothing about his experience in Portugal that makes me consider him a PL level player.

I thought he never wanted to return to spurs after the way it ended?

Can't remember where I read that.
