Is our current form Mourinho's fault or the players? Boring answer but I think our problem is a combination of the two.

Those who think Mourinho isn't to blame at all must be blind. We've played some of the most bland, risk averse, turgid football in living memory over recent months. If managers like Chris Wilder, Hasenhuttl and Potter can get teams with 1/3 of our collective talent playing some progressive, eye-catching stuff, the very least we should expect from a manager of Mourinho's pedigree is coherent movement and a credible goalthreat against the worst teams in the league. He's had enough time and has enough talent available to do MUCH better than he has done, and fully deserves a big chunk of the blame.

But on the other hand, it's clear our squad has problems. We're weak in defensive midfield and at fullback, our confidence is low, and aside from a few players, the technical ability is surprisingly poor at times for a team that claims to be a one of the 'big 6'. The players should be doing better.

Ultimately, though, I think a manager more suited to the project, while they may have not got a huge amount more points than Mourinho, would at least have far more positive signs and green shoots of hope for the future. If anything, at the moment, we're getting worse week by week.

We need to back Mourinho this summer and support him, but personally I think the writing is on the wall and he's done at this level, except at clubs that can buy him the league.

I think we will back him in the summer, unfortunately. We can't bail out now and have another massive compensation claim. The only way he knows how to solve problems is to chuck wads of money around and he won't be getting that, thank God, but that gives him every excuse he needs to pass the buck. He spent an absolute fortune at MU in no time at all (and then whinged that it wasn't enough) and that's not even addressing stuff like wages for Ibrahimovic and Sanchez. I also think he's done at this level and have seen nothing in his tenure here to change my mind one iota. The sad thing is that we're now stuck with it unless he magically unveils the 'new' Mourinho with his all conquering new style of football (yes, the same one he promised Man Utd.).

If I thought there was any chance we'd ever play football like Liverpool I'd be happy for him to stay but we all know there is 0% chance that's ever going to happen. Its boring football from now until the day he's sacked.

We wont spend like Liverpool, expecting us to play like Liverpool is not on. We could try to play like Liverpool within our budget, but as 5 years of Poch showed its one bridge too far in terms of trophies (not having a go at Poch, just telling the reality).

If we dont spend but we want trophy, only way is Jose way. Faster get on board with him and give him a fair chance , the better.
But till date, what I have seen is only doubts and mistrust.
This squad has too many holes even Klopp or Pep or any top manager cant do anything. We need to do changes in squad - so back the manager and trust him...at the least for 1 full season - otherwise we arent getting anywhere, given Levy isnt going to sell off and go

TBF, he's been very measured over the money situation so far. Some of the accusations aimed at him (boring football) are justifiable at the moment but some stuff (like him throwing players under the bus, bringing in loads of old players and moaning about the budget) is preemptive. If he does then fair enough but at the moment I think that people are just going on prejudice rather than being open minded.

Probably. Lets see if the leopard changes it's spots.

Absolutely but it’s just frustrating that all the negative aspects of him, people say that he’ll never change but the positive aspects, people say that he’s spent. It might be that both are proven true but I feel like maybe we should wait and see. I never thought that I’d ever be in a position of defending the guy and I’m certainly not going to say that I have always been a big fan but I feel like it would be nice to see some measure in criticism of him.

I think the best we can hope for is that we spend well in the transfer market and, regardless of what happens to Mourinho, those players are an important part of the 'rebuild'.

I still think that Ndombele, Sess and Bergwijn (who has already done well) could all prove to be very decent signings if we bring in the right manager, so I don't think our recruitment has necessarily been too bad recently. Clarke looks like a worse investment with each passing week, though.

0 shots on target against Bournemouth that’s all I have got to say. Levy out. Mourinho out, he is a dinosaur.
United this season in whole competitions had 3 matches with 0 shots on target. Chelsea had one. Liverpool had one. Leicester had one. Arsenal had one. Tottenham had one.
