I dont think Jose is our savior and at a guess I think he will be hooked next season. We are no better off for having signed him and without the lure of UCL footy and the money that comes with it, I cant see us spending much as we dont have much income with empty stadium.

I think having Europa, assuming we even make it that far, will hamstring us as it used to do having so much travel to remote areas and then having to back up on the weekends.

I think we have a long journey ahead to make the top 4 again.

No denying poor recruitment and a lack of investment has been a major factor in our demise.

I don't believe Jose was the right appointment. He has always had money to throw around at previous clubs so comparing his past success to what he has here is a non argument. He will fail here and its just a matter of time before he leaves the club, which I don't believe will be soon.

You think he will win a trophy at Spurs do you?
Do you think anyone will? Of course, we may luck out finally and win one but there isn't a manager in the game right now who will transform us into what we all want us to be. Not all the while you know who is in charge. This is all fluff. Avoiding the real problem.

The priority isn't a new manager. Nowhere near it. Until our club has a change of philosophy at the top all a change of manager will do is sooth the baying mob for a year or two until we find ourselves here all over again. It's about time we, as fans, started to voice or vent our frustrations at the eighth dwarf. Stingey.

Klopp was a manager on the rise. Mourinho is on the decline. The George Graham comparison rings true. He was a successful manager but his best years were serving our hated rivals.
Funny how you’re getting praised for the George Graham comment after this defeat yet I got lambasted for it after the MUFC game. You’re 100% correct btw & the sheep are finally waking up to this relic & his outdated ways in modern football

Sorry buddy but we won’t achieve CL and he’s so limited as a player.
Is he better than any of these players and the answer is no:
City : KDB, Rodri, Foden, D.Silva, Gundoghan
Lpool: Fabhino, Henderson, Ox, Winjydum
Leicester: Tilemans, Ndidi
Man.U: Mctominay, Pogba, B.Fernandes, Fred, Matic
Chelsea: Kante, Kovatic, Jorginho, Barkley, Mount
Wolves: Moutiniho, Neves

he’s physical, he works hard and he can run forwards with the ball, BUT... he’s clumsy, he’s got poor technique, very average at best passing, cant shoot, makes a lot of fouls, positioning is questionable, really mate sorry but he’s a mid table player at best and should be no where near our first XI given where we aspire to be.

Think about this right when we were flying under Harry we had Parker and Modric, he’s not where near what those two guys could do... under poch we had peak wanyama and dembele again hes no where near these guys And if Ndombele sorted himself out then Sissoko would be on our bench all day long.
Reading that list of players makes me think wow we really are poor

i'm almost certain the ITK on Poch sacking was down to senior players pressuring to leave as they DID NOT want a rebuild that was going to take few years +

i'm really not sure why some of you want that rebuild with Mourinho who is not on the level Poch is (currently).Really interesting times ahead as Mourinho has no chance of success with current roster

You’re optimistic aren’t you, they can’t last 3 months let alone a year!

Look in this thread, we win and there’s about 2 pages of posts, lose and there’s 20. It’s not just the owners that need to change their attitude, it’s the fans that are part of the problem too and has been a long time. At games all they do is want to moan rather than get behind the team and sing. The new stadium has made it worse too because of the expectation and the ability for more of them to get tickets and sit there thinking they should be entertained without realising they might actually have to do their part too and get involved.

Andros Townsend said on the radio on Wednesday that if we had appointed someone like the Ajax manager and it was another project that Kane would ask to leave He wanted a Mourinho figure at the club. Townsend would know the truth being mates with Harry. Anyway, it doesn’t matter because the people who don’t want Mourinho don’t offer up any other realistic alternatives.

I'm no longer going to fight the masses.

It doesn't matter who was appointed, you could ask the same question over and over of the trophy.

There are three domestic trophies and then the choice of one European trophy per season - the teams still in with a chance to win silverware this season - barring our North London rivals - have spent money on supporting their manager.

That's the bottom line.

As far as style, and 'to dare is to do' and all the rest of it - yeah, good luck with that - until you learn how to win something which we haven't done in over a decade we figuratively and literally don't have a pot to piss in.

I mentioned the common denominator last night between Poch and Jose this season is the playing squad, out side of two players. The other common denominator - the board.

Throw your toys out of the pram over which ever bloke stands on that touchline, until other things change you could have prime Ferguson, Wenger, Jose stood there, it wouldn't matter a jot.

'the sheep' are the ones who still think a change of manager is where thfocus is, so why there isn't a 'baaa' in your post baffles me.

A pig that went to the CL final and finished top 4 for one of those managers
How many times do people feel the need to bring up the CL as a way of glossing over our shocking form! We got to the CL through luck more than anything, Scraping through the group stage relying on inter Milan to mess up, Fernandos hand ball against city, Hugo’s penalty save, a lucky last second goal against Ajax. And then the final in which we were again shocking. Give the CL final debate a rest will you. Have you not been watching Spurs for the past 18+ months?!

We should not be relying on our fullbacks to rack up assists. We are not Liverpool.

Why not? Many teams do.

It's quite clear from that the way Mourinho has us set up that the full backs are supposed to be key to our attacking play. Yesterday evening, they were given the ball in great positions on numerous occasions, with plenty of space and time. Not once did they deliver a cross (high or low) of any quality or accuracy. Not once did they create a chance. Wholly unacceptable from highly paid professional footballers. If they had done their job, we would have won regardless their (and others') comical defending.

He also said before lockdown palace we’re looking at us thinking they can finish above us, that’s how bad we’ve become
