They're usually afforded it when it's surrounded by good performances and have a down day but still manage to get a result. Not having scraping through as the peak of their powers.
It's football, it's a sport, it's not an exact science.

Luck is a large part of any sport. Football is a results based sport/business. Making out that we're undeserving all the time is over the top.

I mean, you're clearly entitled to your opinion though.

I'd still disagree with it.

Don't need a time machine mate if you saw the first game then you would have noticed that the tie was over, they overwhelmed us at home did anyone expect any different away unfortunately conceding two early goals meant it was over quicker than it could of been.
In all honesty, watching our positive, front foot start to the game, I did have a good feeling about the game. But as soon as the 1st went in, you could see our confidence just evaporate and theirs go into overdrive.

In the cold light of day, you are likely correct, but my point is that we'll never really know as the mistakes destroyed the chance that we could have got a result. It was that that depressed me the most as I really thought, again from that first 20 minutes, that JM had set us up to take the game to them.

PL will get suspended today, it's inevitable.

Brillant news for us to get Kane and Sissoko up to speed, maybe even Son as well.

I reckon a month's suspension.

All football cancelled till a least April 3rd. As you say, it could work in our favour, long term injury-wise.

Also, there must be very serious doubts about the Euro's this summer.

Say what you like about Mourinho but he’s achieved something no Spurs manager has achieved in over 20 years. He’s made me send my ticket back. I can take failure, I can’t accept surrender.
Admit it Spurs. You can’t smile without me.

Seems like Jose has been given a stroke of luck. Seems like all the players will be ill sooner rather than later and when they recover he can get some valuable training time on the pitch with them.

I'm still of the position that Jose needs to be given time because there has been glimpses certainly before all the injuries of some fast counter attacking football.

But every team scrapes through to wins against the run of play or supposedly lucky goals not just Spurs.
That is true, yes. It's like the cliche about bad refereeing decisions evening out over a season, although nobody really knows if that is true or not.
It is also true to say we have Probably suffered more than most with our injuries although much of this is the club 's fault for not having sufficient cover in the squad.
Looking back through all our matches to date, I still think we are quite fortunate to be in a position of relative safety. We can only hope that the lessons are learned from it going forward.........

Can't wait to see this new brand of football with all our players back and fit. Always said I'd give it until Christmas this year until passing judgement.

Mourinho can now use this as a mini pre season, implement his new ideas that he’s been talking about

And the players gets a bit of rest and some of the injured players have time to get back

And that is the overriding point being made here by a few of us. Taking into account all of the mitigating factors, it's really not a surprise that we're currently in the situation we find ourselves in. We can express anger at dire Football, but you have temper that with the realisation that you're never going to get a craftsman to produce a quality product if most of his tools are broken or worn out. He can only be judged when he has the tools available and they're in good condition.

Damn fine analogy if I do say so myself ;)

A month break now is a stroke of good fortune really. It gives him time to work with them on the training ground, gives key players a better opportunity to be fit and available, and will help in some way to get their mindset reset. That's my hope anyway.

I might be mistaken but is the ban not also on training grounds usage as well?
If so he won't be doing much with them.
