I don’t care he managed Chelsea. I care that he always played poor football. I care that I watched him just be an arse when the press asked him about performances after Poch beat him when he was Utd manager and he said three titles for me two for everyone else. I care that he burst in a Sky Sports Studio and thought it was his right to know the Chelsea lineup from Ashley Cole.

He was a failure at Man United. He was going to get Chelsea relegated because of the way he treated his players.

He has left every team worse off after short term stays. He is a short term solution to anything who only cares about Mourinho.

In Mourinho’s first stint at Chelsea I thought he protected his players by his media presence. I never saw him throw any of his players under the bus and said he was responsible for performances. Then Real Madrid happened and it seem to damage him. He took most the criticism for the team’s failures. Then after that he has been more than willing to throw players to the wolves.

If we got Mourinho after his first stint at Chelsea before he went to Real Madrid, I would have been happy. We got Mourinho when no top club wanted him because their was just to much baggage with him.
God, I can almost hear your bottom lip trembling.

If my remark didn’t apply to you, why are you getting so defensive?

Bumping posts is lame. If it all goes to shit next season and we sack Jose (which let’s face it isn’t exactly impossible) and people want to bump any posts of people defending Mourinho I would think that’s just as pathetic as people doing it if we win a trophy with him next season. Considering how dire shit is at the moment I can understand (though mostly disagree) why some fans are venting on him.

Also, can we not pretend that Mourinho wasn’t anything other than a monumental prick before he joined us, a very successful prick but a fucking prick nonetheless. So it’s hardly surprising that people are hating on him. He’s our prick now, though, and tbf he’s seems alright these days (funny that).

I also believe that if you asked all the biggest Jose haters would you rather things get worse and he goes or he stays and we win a trophy the overwhelming majority would say they’d rather be wrong and us win something.

Love the optimism in that last paragraph bro, and I’d like to think you’re right.

But then I remember George Graham...

If anyone was daft enough to post guaranteeing Jose would be a success, then they deserve to get their posts bumped if it all goes to shit...in exactly the same way as people who've written him off after 4 months deserve to if he's successful.
Not sure why people get so sensitive over it.

Post shit, get banged.

Oh dear Seppo, this is a bit of a egg on face moment. Under Mourinho, we beat Man City, playing the same type of football.............

To be fair when Man Utd beat Man City, Utd had 12 shots to City's 7 with 6 on target to City's 4.

When we beat them they had 19 shots compared to our 3.
The 2 matches were not comparable at all, we won not through some tactical masterplan, but because of appalling finishing from City on the day, nothing else really.

Yeah, I might be being a bit naive there but I just find it such a strange position to take and I don’t really know anyone that would be like that in real life. Maybe it’s my bubble or an internet thing. Fuck knows.

Yeah that’s fair enough but I think ridiculing someone for being really optimistic about something they love is lame. Just as mocking someone who’s had enough and is convinced we’re all fucked is lame (there’s maybe a few exceptions where this is funny)

I dunno, I love the tribalism of sport, you should save your hatred for those closest to you that aren’t part of your tribe. That’s how it works. Can’t we all just get along? Not with other tribes though obviously we need to fight those fuckers.

I hope we see the Mourinho of the second half against Burnley. We need to win. If he sets us to wait again, I give up

Nah it's all good fun really...people should just take it with good grace and see the funny side, it's when they get in a hissy fit and get offended when you bump will never not be funny to me.

Yeah, this is true. And actually if what I think is true (about the majority of Mourinho haters wanting what’s best for spurs over being right) then they should take it in good spirit.

At the end of the day, if they are being proved wrong it means we are winning and we shouldn't care about whether we look like a bit of a penis on the internet :woot:

We were not worthy of him after his first stint at Chelsea.
You refer to baggage - do you know some one at the lodge or the hotel in Manc where he stayed?

Yeah but we won, and I enjoyed it. Do you like football?

Even tho I don’t think Mourinho should be our manager I have to give him credit. As I said before he once again manages to convince majority of the fanbase that he’s overachieving when he’s underachieving but also somehow the universe is on his side. Against Norwich the media and majority of the fanbase talked about the Dier situation and now yesterday about Ndombele instead of him and his tactics. He once again somehow gets away with it
Love the creative way that you pretend that you are giving him credit but end up criticising him in a passive aggressive way. Genius.

I’d love to see the list of players he wants in the summer. That’s key for me.

He’s got until Xmas/New Year until I send Levy a strongly worded email.

Regardless of who he signs he’s got to set us up better next season but I’m giving him some leeway on this considering the current state of the squad. I’m a fickle results man, though, so I will put the caveat in that he can set us up like that next season but we better see some results.
Levy must be hoping that we'll be in form by then to avoid the email.

Seriously though, I think that the majority of us will be concerned if we are still struggling by then albeit the summer transfer window will play a part.

I really hope that whoever we bring in, it's early on for once.

For me he gets until Xmas. After a full pre-season, with a fit squad, full of the players he identifies he needs to win things.

Bit like fat people being being unhappy when slim!

Kind of. Football is JUST entertainment, that is all. Sometimes (often) it feels like it actually matters but it really doesn't. If someone feels that they are not being entertained and they want to stop going then that is fine. For your analolgy to be accurate it would be a bit like a fat person being happy because they are out on the town all the time, eating loads, shagging loads and having a laugh seddenly becoming a militant vegan.

Apart from the fact that we are going to win champions league I cannot wait for this season to be over. JUst glad that Amazon have made the plot interesting for us.
