Jose once again deflecting blame from himself to a player. Wednesday is was Troy Parrott, who must be wishing he had not signed a contract, today it’s Ndombele. No doubt some here will out this all down to master tactical decision making; others as the ramblings of a morose egotist

It's not hard to get praise from Jose. Just be prepared to give everything. Look at Lamela, it's clear that he would quickly become a Jose favourite. Does it really matter if Jose says in public what he has no doubt been saying directly to Ndombele? You are an incredibly talented player, this club has invested more money in you than in any other player in it's history, and you need to give everything in return. It's not like he is being hypocritical, and after the video v wolves that went viral it's not like the whole world doesn't know that Ndombele could certainly be trying harder. Give 100%. That's it.

I am not Mourinho's greatest fan, but the club has been playing russian roulette with the striker situation for years and now for the first time the worst case scenario has been realised. I doubt there has ever been a top club anywhere that was unable to field a genuine striker for months. It is a total and utter disgrace. We simply cannot judge the manager brought into the middle of this shambles until he has Son or Kane back. He had the third best record this season with strikers, but what the hell is he really supposed to do without any.

Hi guys , long time lurker here
I just read the pre match press conference and found something that Jose said very interesting and I don’t think it’s been mentioned on here

Jose said when speaking about the squad’s tiredness and injuries :
"So I have an answer for everything. For ethical reasons I cannot say much more. Ethical reasons. I cannot be critical of... Come on, I cannot go further than this. I have just to speak in general.
"I would love to sit with you and to speak with you about football and to try and explain everything that I can explain. But there are things that I cannot say much more than this.”

I think he is hinting about the physical conditioning and fitness of the players under poch

I don't know about you guys but I found it very interesting with the stories we heard about poch having his son replacing the old fitness guy ?

See Mourinho has thrown NDombele under the bus again. As soon as Mourinho is gone the better for the club. It is hilarious how people are falling for it he did the exact same thing to Luke Shaw. I was disgusted then and am disgusted now.

Mourinho is not going to win anything at Spurs unless it is the trophy for playing some of the worst football ever at Spurs.

Just more excuses.

Mourinho said he used his time off to reflect on the game having been sacked and paid off for the nth time, he swore he'd made changes.

Mourinho is a great manager you don't win like he does around the world without being a great manager secondly being backed financially however the game moves on quickly and I feel Mourinho should tone manager his flaws better.

Does he want to be a legacy long term manager or continue jumping around.

I wont have a go at him for criticising Ndombele but tactics once again do not bring the best out of our players. First half the tactics and approach are the same as we have seen even with the likes of GLC and Lucas.

The second half we played how I would expect us to play yet we created chances and looked more energetic and pacey. Yes we also conceded chances but we did that even we we sat back... so i dont think it is the players per se but the approach from Jose needs to change when it comes to games and tactics.

So we're not meant to play our club record signing in a Premier League match in March, Good Lord.

How long are you willing to wait until he changes? You saw the effort he put in against Wolves, that's not down to ability, that's down to mentality and hard work - if you're not putting in a shift at the very least you deserved to get called out, we're talking about a basic requirement of running and tracking, sorry but it's poor.
Isn't it ironic that there seems to be a correlation between people willing to give Ndombele time and those not willing to give Mourinho time?

Where are the posts about Ndombele earning £10.4 million a year?

Where are the posts with words like, 'Lille. Slag. Out''?

His job is to turn up to training, work hard and assist the team. That's it. And yet he's been here 7-8 months, shown very little endeavour on the pitch, but he deserves time. Mourinho has shown he works hard all throughout his career, has only been here 4 months, but he should be sacked.

OK.

I might have missed something, so genuinely - What examples from the first half today can you give of Ndombele being a ‘lazy fucker’?

For his price tag I was hoping for more than he has contributed. It seems you are happy with him!

This was the first Spurs game in a mighty long time that I didn’t watch one minute. Now to be fair I was coaching my son’s basketball team in a tournament, but I could have watched on my phone in between games and followed along. When I saw Mourinho started five CBs, I knew it wasn’t even worth my time. I don’t even want to watch the “highlights” on YouTube,

Levy has built a magnificent stadium and has absolutely destroyed the team that it houses. I dont really know how any Spurs fan can be optimistic right now. Mourinho, although admittedly short handed, is showing himself to be exactly what many of us feared - A miserable, unlikeable manager that plays boring, uninspired football. Do any of you really believe that he has “changed his ways” like some said when he was hired?

I would guess this summer will be quite ugly with Levy continuing to be cheap and Jose not playing the diplomatic role that Poch did for so long. With the CL revenue pretty much officially gone, Levy will have a golden excuse for doing little or trying to acquire second or third rate (cheaper) options for the many many areas that need to improve on this team. Wouldn’t be shocked at all if Kane asked to be sold. Just a really sad depressing time.

*Couple of people disagree with Mourinho's decisions*

"OMG Why are you all literally throwing him out he deserves a summer and preseason! I cannot believe you plastic fans... Back the manager and the club!"

*Couple of people disagree with Ndombele's commitment in a match*

I thought watching Spurs today was the only thing that would make my eyes bleed but this forum this afternoon... Good God.

The sky sports guy said Lennon was bought for 1million and sold for 4miliion with 360ish appearances- that shit ain't going to happen anymore and hopefully Levy acknowledges that too and gets behind Jose in the summer.

Cannot disagree with this more.

He had more than half an eye on the cl game in midweek.

Aurier, Winks, Lucas all rested. He was being pragmatic and still got a point. I know it's Burnley but we got beat there last season.

He is making changes and still finding out who he can trust. You can see by his pressers that he is loving the likes of Winks and GLC who are putting everything in for him. I am not a fan of the football we are playing but he is picking sides with his hands tied behind his back.

I am actually positive about the future, but we shall see.

Difference is N'Dombele is an insanely talented young player at the start of his career.

Mourinho is at the end of his career with his best days long behind him.

He was a talented player in France! Jose may have had his best days behind him however he has won stuff in the Premiership.

Also not sure what your comment means as it infers as you are comparing a manager with a player!
