Rose was one of the best LBs in the world, injuries ruined him. Walker was incredible. Crazy to me you would include him in a list with Sissoko and Trippier.

I’m not sure, has he ever shown that level during his City tenure?

Walker was never incredible. He had fantastic recovery pace so didn't get outplayed by anyone. Doesn't have a football brain though so never seemed to realise that his pace could cause havoc if he just kept bursting down the wing and improved his crossing. He got fancy and started to cut inside and pass square.

If we somehow managed to sign Aarons, Dias, Eze, and Soumare it would be an outrageously good summer.

yeah there’s no way will raise enough money for that. From reading the itk thread we somehow seem unbelievably skint. I’d be amazed if we have a net spend of over £50 million. We will have to sell to raise funds and unless there is a surprise departure I just don’t seem where the money will come from.

Yeah, that’s probably the worst thing to come out of this window: the realisation that the huge cost of the stadium is going to seriously impact our ability to rebuild the squad without selling players. I mean I always suspected that would be the case, but you always have that bit of hope.

We will rebuild, but it will be slowly and we can only hope Kane and Son are still around by the time it comes to fruition.

Bergwijn will need time. Cant expect him to be a starter.

He and we don't have much choice wihnour lack of goals since Kane got injured. He's a Sours player, he gets the winter break like the rest of them soon I say we chuck him in, give him his moment and roll the dice on how he gets on.

I bet we probably sell Foyth, Lamela, Sissoko, Rose and KWP this summer. Maybe that group makes you 50mil?

It wouldn't really surprise me if we didn't go for a DM and RB because we had summer targets in mind.

Bear in mind that we just loaned out a LB and a RB that were no where near the team under Jose lately - that tells me that simply signing any old player would be redundant - it seems like he'd rather use Sess/Vertonghen/Tanganga etc. on the flanks than play a specialised player that he just didn't rate. I don't think there were better players available short term than the ones we were happy to loan out.

Seems like we're going to have to shift more players in the Summer that Jose doesn't want/rate (Wanyama, Sissoko possibly, maybe some surprises) so I can see why he wouldn't want to add more names to that list.

He won’t need that much, to be honest. He’s fit, comes with a ton of experience for a 22 year old and we wouldn’t be putting him in a position that doesn’t suit him down to the ground.

It is a huge step up from Eredevisie to PL. If he hits the ground running it would be an exceptional thing.

Well they seemed to have done quite well since he went there and us not so much.
For a guy with no football brain, cant cross and cant defend he's done quite well for himself.
Not having a pop at you directly but I'm sick of reading how every player we have or had is shit.
Even Kane, twice golden boot winner and our best player for decades, gets a school report from knobheads on here saying 'could do better!'
Trippier the same. Slagged to fk followed by we should never have sold him!
The clubs these players leave for is an indicator of how good they are but also doesnt reflect how good they were.
Alli will be the same I've no doubt.
Does my nut in.
Anyway, I'm off to work, have a headache and hence I'm very grumpy this morning ?

How does it? If we wanted him and had the money we would have got him but we didn’t
Yes, so obviously it wasn't about just having the money & stumping it up. Christ son, it's not hard to understand!!!

Other factors dictated we didn't go for him, as alluded to by several itks.

Your right SON it’s not hard to understand.
The other reasons were we want a loan with no obligation to buy. How is that not about money?
Don’t bother responding I’m bored of doing this now, I won’t see it anyway

WHAT A GAME! What a result! Jose masterclass. They should’ve had 9 men! We rode our luck but the plan worked well. Brilliant all over to a man. This performance and result was for all those Jose doubters who said the game has passed him by, has it f***.

Absolutely buzzing.
