Exactly, especially when you lose intensity or a magnet like Dembele.

City can do it because they have so many options and so many players that are creative and good dribblers in tight spaces. Still, even they get caught out a lot and now that they miss quality CBs they are getting punished more.

Hopefully Jose will give us a nice balance
It’s a twofold issue for City, in lacking a decent CB he’s resorted to playing their DM in there. As a result they have a makeshift CB and lose the protection in the middle of the park. Against teams with sufficient counterattacking quality they are very vulnerable.

Who goes to matches and films the manager/players on the bench the whole time? Am I the only one that finds that a bit creepy?

Yes. :sneaky:

It's a company making these clips. They also have a partnership with Korea University.

Oh I thought it was some random fan stalking our staff. Still creepy :cautious::shifty:

Haha! Yeah that would have been slightly more creepy.

I think it's probably about getting more material for Korean viewers. Wouldn't surprise me if Levy is behind it.

Burnley game will be telling.

My biggest issue this season has been our inability to bounce back from shocking performances like last night. That horror show at Brighton after being hammered by Bayern was when I knew the Poch era was over. Then after that more dross against Watford and Everton, failing to build on good CL performances.

Big response needed this weekend.

I think 5-0 was a pretty good response to be fair. Great to see.

Wonder out of the 25 posters who voted 'Horrified - praying for the day he'll fuck off'...how many of them have changed their minds, or are at least softening their stances slightly?
These votes should be publicly viewable.
Not a dig or anything, I'm honestly interested.

I love being able to enjoy pressers again. I hadn't watched a Poch cat-'n-mouser in months (the only ones I saw were the obviously joyful Champions League ones; as for the League, I hadn't seen one in ages). I will always adore Poch but his public persona was always that of a coy, often disgusted and at times outright hostile individual who seemed to hate every minute of the give-and-take with the various writers. He morphed from being a fun-loving guy to being- well- kind of a dick. Yes, I understand that the queries could be annoying but fuck me was he monetarily compensated for enduring them so yeah- not to mention his English was- frankly- pretty terrible given the length of time he'd been in the UK. Jose, otoh, is such a breath of fresh air in that regard; he answers as truthfully as he can and doesn't seem to regard the press as the enemy. Yes- I'm aware that it all could change but for now at least it's refreshing to see him explain his thought processes. I have to say the more I watch him the more he grows on me. If we win a major trophy (a European Cup or the League) in his time here I will see him as a God among men- and I get the feeling that he might just deliver for us. The guy just straight-up knows the game, and he truly wants the best for our (his) club. Dude has me all tingly inside.
