Did people suddenly forget we spent 150m in the Summer?
I don't know what point you are making, on which side of the fence, but to me, that underlines why we should not anticipate incisive January signings. Maybe the odd cut price deal ala Lucas or one of those somewhat out of the blue January signings that we've seen in the past. Maybe. But we are not signing any world class DM or FB who walks straight into the team. Not happening.

Still a substantial amount. Add to that the money Levy spent on the manager switch.
It’s a lot of money no doubt but we didn’t spend a penny for 2 windows though so was very much needed and probably not quite enough looking at the problems we’ve still got to address.

Do love the insight we get from Mourinho's pressers. The stuff on CM especially was very good.

“I knew that [Tanguy] Ndombele not in the best condition. [Oliver] Skipp, not for a game of that dimension immediately, Eric Dier had played three matches in a row and I felt that Lucas Moura in that forward position could create problems for United. Combination if things but best position for him (Sissoko) is not as one of the double midfield players.”

As suspected he played the Winks/Sissoko partnership on Utd due to lack of options and the decision to use Moura. With hindsight I'm sure he'd change it. Maybe being brave with Skipp would have been better. I suspect he has learned a lot from weds regardless.

Indeed. But we have no idea how much money will be available now that the stadium is built. Anyone's guess.

Exactly, lack of options. Not in names on the paper. On paper we've got plenty of options. But in terms of players who are actually physically ready.

Lamela is maybe the only player I can imagine being angry as fuck after a loss. Good mentality from Mourinho.

How can Ndombele still be unfit? It’s halfway through a season - surely that’s enough time to get up to speed?

Good presser from Mourinho, comes across as he is actually thinking through stuff. Refreshing that the team line up isn't based on who was the last player to piss of or butter up the head coach. Equally refreshing to learn a few genuine thoughts and pieces of rationale.

He is very good at giving what seems to be an honest answer. He does understand our problems you can certainly see that.

He sees the problems because from when he was out of work i bet he was eyeing us up and finding solutions to what were apparent issues. He could see what we could see from the outside in which sometimes is more apparent than when youre in such close proximity as Poch was.

I am 100% certain Jose knows what needs to be done and how to solve it but it will take some time.

And commited £45m to Mourinho's contract as well as pay off Poch's one

Technically we havent paid off Poch's i think he is being paid currently and we will get compensation once a job offer comes in and they deal with Levy. My understanding anyways but i could be totally wrong. I get your point though - we dont have an unlimited well of cash

Sounds to me they still have a lot of Poch's traits they need to drop, can't be feeling sorry for ourselves. I feel that Poch is someone who is very emotional and shows weakness in front of the squad like the CL final he was in floods of tears, we need to change this mentality.
