Pochettino’s first game was at their place as well just like tomorrow.

I’ll take another 1-0 win with Dier getting a late winner from Right Back.
so will I - Ive had a tenner on 0-1 tomorrow and us to lift the FA Cup

I wasnt too keen on the idea of Mourinho as our manager before it happened, I have never been a fan. One of my work colleagues (man u fan) has been chipping away at me telling me how he (Jose) can laugh at himself and is a good character and how he has been coming across very well as a pundit on tv. It was starting to have an effect on me and the day Poch got sacked I woke up thinking Jose may not be such a bad idea for us. Then Poch got sacked that evening, I have always been behind Poch and am so grateful for the way he has changed the club and the position we are now in, but I can now see that he took as as far as he could, we had become stale and had started to stagnate, I was not enjoying this season.

Now Mourinho has come in and I am genuinely excited about being a spurs fan. He said all the right things in the press conference (imo) paying homage to the work Poch had done saying it would always be his home and he was always welcome to come if he missed any of the staff or players. I think the players need someone who can help them fulfill their potential. A manager saying we cant win the league for the next 5 years is bound to have an effect on them, Jose saying we can win the league (not that we will) is a breath of fresh air and I think this is what the players and fans need to hear as I am sure we both feel it. I am now looking forward to this next stage of being a Tottenham Hotspur fan. At the very least everything has become interesting again.

ITK in the past has said Levy and Jose have apparently got on well with each other. Apparently they have been always on good speaking terms

Again I didnt say I would like him here hence why the style of play is irrelevant

He would manage one of the best teams in the league not a huge budget but he has more than he had at Man Utd when he took over. Yea he spends a lot of money he has done well on low budgets as well.

He won the CL against all odds twice with teams that shouldn't have been there.

Also he has won trophies at every job he has been at, even at united he has won the Europa League and Carling cup, which if we achieved that I would be over the moon
Haha ITK really? Let's see how they get on in a professional and working relationship, that's what I was getting at, they may be friends or whatever but you know how Levy operates and you know that Jose would want funds to strengthen his team and he wouldn't fully utilise the academy properly which is something that Levy has spent years investing in.

I wasn't talking about you when I mentioned style of play, I was talking about the fans - the majority of fans would be pissed off with the football being played.

He also 'managed' one of the best teams in the league in Man Utd and ended up getting sacked, their last four games and how they're playing under OGS tells you what you need to know, also what teams has he done well on low budgets?

He won the CL once with Porto which was an amazing achievement although they had a lot of luck, one of the easiest runs to the final and Utd had a legit goal disallowed in their match. The Inter were amongst the best teams in the CL that year considering Real went out in the last 16 there was only Barca, Bayern and Man Utd only teams who were clearly better than them.

Yeah I'd be ecstatic with winning those trophies, I just don't think we would win them under Jose.
Like Levy and Jose have ever been tested under a true working relationship ?
Mourinho also wants the finished article and they come at a premium.

Who on the right mind thinks Levy and Mourinho would make a good working relationship!
So guys how do we think this is going to go down?

I will say that whilst I dislike Mourinho and have a lot of misgivings about his appointment, his press conference today was very good. If we get sophisticated thoughtful Mourinho rather than spiteful megalomaniac Mourinho that's a good start.

Couple of hours and you're on the Jose train, didn't take long

This is it in a nut shell, it not like come January Jose will say *voot du you meeean Mr Levy, no moneys?, do you nots knows whoz I am?*

It’s just lazy journalism. The fact that he paid off Poch and made Jose the second highest paid manager says a lot.

Certainly not on the train yet, but whilst immediately after the appointment I'd have rather got on a Megabus than get on that particular train, I'm now at least considering the ticket prices on Trainline.com.

Come sir- early 70s Elvis is a far richer sound. You’re mistaking it for the mid 70s Hawaii era; the one where he constantly wore the expression of a man passing armadillo sized turds. That’s what I futuristically refer to as Mourinho’s West Ham years

This all seems surreal to me. There are some managers you love and sad to see go. Venables, Jol and now Poch, so obviously still sad. It hasn't quite sunk in we have one of the best managers (or used to be) in the world right now. If we do the hammers over and he celebrates like a looney it will sink in then

Essien (a year after the rest), Drogba, Carvalho, Cech, Robben, Ferreira, none of these were household name bona fide superstars who were particularly well known in the UK other than having shown potential in weaker leagues and European competition. He signed them all and added them to Duff, Makalele, Gallas, Lampard, Terry, Duff, Joe Cole who were already there but also weren’t considered world class back in 2005.
