I couldn't see him. Couldn't see Sessengon, Eriksen, Aurier, Skipp or Parrott either...

I could be wrong, but it looked like Eriksen was there when was Davies was making some joke about Wanyama being Scottish. It didn’t seem like Eriksen, Davies or Alderweireld were too involved though, probably because they just played yesterday.

What did Levy build? He built the stadium. The rest was mostly Poch, specially after a whole season without signings. He set up the whole club under the same football phylosophy. That will be destroyed with Mourinho
I don't know what will happen, but we could def be worse that what we are now. United is a mess after Mourinho.

Re the bolded part. It could be that, or it could also be that Mourinho is past his best and his pull is significantly lower.
I think it's a bit of both. We certainly gained popularity with the CL final, but we are not a major force.

The reality is we have significantly improved our standing thanks to Poch while Mourinho's meltdowns at Chelsea (2nd time) and United hurt his so we pretty much meet in the middle.

He was not going to get a better job than this. Bayern had a vacancy but didn't turn to him. Madrid decided to go back to Zidane. Juventus chose Sarri when most of last season he was on the verge of being sacked at Chelsea. Big vacancies have come and gone.

To be fair, United were a mess before Jose arrived and they are still a mess now.
While Woodward is there, they will continue to be a mess.

Enjoyed his first interview.

Actually it's a bit mental hearing Jose fucking Mourinho talk about being Spurs manager.

And then saying stuff like how we are too humble about stuff. He's not bullshitting either, he's always spoken well about us. Let's be honest since Levy tried to get him in 2007 Jose has known that if we get big enough for him, he'd love to come here.

Not going to lie got a little bit of a spine tingle watching that and hearing his voice talking about us.

It's either genuine excitement or my motor neurone disease is kicking up a notch. Either way exciting times ahead.
Whilst i'm far from sold on Mourinho, i've definitely soften as the day goes on.

Style and personality aside he's one of the top echleon of managers and he's now ours. Would have been unthinkable 10 years ago. I can't wait to see what happens.

The video of it all is very impressive - it made me feel very proud of what we've become as a club, in terms of the tools and facilities we have to offer him, and he comes across as very sincere and passionate for the job ahead. Very much gives the impression that he's 100% in already and uses "our" and "we" an awful lot.

What's reassuring is that he comes across as having been wanting the job, rather than it simply being the best offer he had right now.

I thought it was an excellent statement of intent and he comes across like he genuinely wants to be here.

Anyone see Eriksen actually smiling in that 7min clip, he looked like he was a bit giddy commenting with jose, .... its been ages since ive seen Eriksen not miserable and moody. Plus JM clearly loves Dele, and Dele's grin says it all, hopefully we will see him back to his best.
