And

Two things I noticed. 1. Players are all stretching in a group and the one player he goes and steaks to is Tanganga. 2. The rondos already look a lot more intense and quicker than in previous training videos.

And also the bit with Dele where they have a smile, a joke, a laugh and a hug at the end. He’s got big plans for him I feel.

There's a 7 min version in the Spurs app.

Speaking as someone who works in comms, the club have done a fantastic job of controlling the narrative over all this. We had a day of largely fantastic press and coverage, when it could so easily have been largely negative about sacking a very popular manager.

He did the whole compiling a thorough dossier thing with the Utd board to. With the way it usually ends with Mourinho, sure Levy has accounted for the fact there is a good chance it could happen here to. Mourinho only likely to walk if a bigger club come in for him who give him the money to challenge for the league/CL , otherwise probably would wait to be pushed and collect his compensation (what that would be or whether there are any certain stipulations tied in, who knows) imo. Really don't think Levy see's it as a big deal replacing managers.
His dossier was ignored, Pogba aside. They ended up bringing in who he never wanted. More to the story than what you read with the dealings there.

That's probably because Pogba was the only one they agreed would be a success commercially...

I will go back to the FA Cup semi final a couple of seasons ago when we played Utd. Building up to that game the euphoria throughout spurs fans was how we were finally going to get to an FA Cup Final. We had beaten Utd two months prior easily in the league and they were not having the best of time and we had a far superior team at that stage.

I remember that not even an ounce of me thought we would win that one off cup game. I told my mates and I even told my brother who is a Utd fan whilst we were sitting there watching the game together that there is no chance spurs win this game. Even after Dele had scored early on, I didn't waiver from the thought that this game will end in the defeat.

It had nothing to do with who we were playing or our history of recent defeats in semi finals and finals etc. My feeling came from the fact Jose Mourhino was the opposition manager and he would not lose that game. He would out think MoPo and the fact we had beaten them previously and were favourites would make him and his side unbeatable that day.

As soon as they went 2-1 up against us the game was over. We didn't even look like scoring again as he knows how to shut important games down, something that MoPo failed to do on many occasions.

Even when City had the opportunity to win the league against their biggest rivals and were 2-0 at half time, you knew it wasn't over and that Utd came out like men possessed.

Those couple of examples are the mentality which will be introduced to this club which we have never had in recent years. The belief that even if we were not the best team involved in that match, we are still going to win and I personally bloody can't wait for it.

Enjoyed his first interview.

Actually it's a bit mental hearing Jose fucking Mourinho talk about being Spurs manager.

And then saying stuff like how we are too humble about stuff. He's not bullshitting either, he's always spoken well about us. Let's be honest since Levy tried to get him in 2007 Jose has known that if we get big enough for him, he'd love to come here.

Not going to lie got a little bit of a spine tingle watching that and hearing his voice talking about us.

It's either genuine excitement or my motor neurone disease is kicking up a notch. Either way exciting times ahead.

I enjoyed that video, though a little cheesy. The club definitely realise that the PR has to be pushed and distract from the sacking of a very popular manager, no matter the long run of poor results.

As someone previously mentioned, I love hearing him use the terms “us” and “we”. Irked me no end when Harry Redknapp used to talk about “Tottenham” and “they” as though he was somehow removed from us.

You were fucking crowing about it all over the Pochettino thread yesterday saying it was a done deal and we should all get used to it. Now today you never thought he would manage this club? (n)
Yesterday it was obivous it was done. Before that i never thought he'd manage us. I made that pretty clear.

The video of it all is very impressive - it made me feel very proud of what we've become as a club, in terms of the tools and facilities we have to offer him, and he comes across as very sincere and passionate for the job ahead. Very much gives the impression that he's 100% in already and uses "our" and "we" an awful lot.

What's reassuring is that he comes across as having been wanting the job, rather than it simply being the best offer he had right now.
