I guess what I'm asking is: what BIG money signing made under Pochettino didn't get the gametime that makes you say it was "a ridiculous thing" from his tenure?

I've only just seen this and can partly explain. Son only started 13 premier League games in his first season. He's since said that he wanted to leave at the end of that season.Moura played six premier League games in his first season (January signing). Poch seemed to trust players once they had a pre season with him, or if they were signed from premier League teams. He wasn't necessarily wrong in doing that, but it's where this perception of him not starting new signings comes from.
