A complete rebuild under Mourinho is unlikely to work. In his 2 decades of management he's only lasted into his 4th season of a club once (12 years ago). And with the players he's likely to want vs. the budget Levy will likely give him, it all seems like a massive stretch.
It would work if we sign 5 players in 2-3 windows and we don’t need a ‘complete rebuild’ we have the core of a good team, just need to upgrade the weak areas and replace players who want to leave.

at Chelsea 2nd time round Jose plugged 3-4 gaps and won the league, not saying that would happen to us but i think they signed GK,Matic, fabregas and Costa, we just need 4 similar standare players for our 4-5 key weak areas.

I think we needed 5 players yesterday.

Still can’t believe Robertson wasn’t sent off. If Gazza didn’t make that save off mane we’d of been 2-0 from it

Sissoko takes a lot of pressure off with his power. He is limited for sure but there is work he does back and forth that goes unnoticed that really has an effect. I think Sissoko would have helped us yesterday too. He supports all our players and nobody runs more

Agree. We'll see how long Mourinho toes the party lines when along this 'rebuild' he'll will get knocked back on the players he wants and has to accept 'alternatives'. When results don't go well, he'll point to how Liverpool and City fix their problems with top quality players while we are not kings of the transfer windows and will eventually look for a way out.

Clear as day Mourinho and ENIC is doomed to failure. To be fair, any manager is limited in what they can do under ENIC, it just varies as to when it will go tits up. I'd go as far as to say Klopp/Guardiola would last a year at best under them before realising ENIC have zero interest in actually challenging for anything. Silverware is just a nice to have, rather than a must like it is for other clubs.

Mourinho needs a few wins. He may not be shy to tell Levy what he needs and especially if he can come up with solutions that are not off the graph and discuss able he might push Levy. It's a bit early for that he needs to build more trust first

This will be a problem and after he leaves (2-3 years from now) we will need another rebuild. At least club is looking at youngster like Eze, McNeil, Aarons, Fergusson.... so next rebuild shouldn't be that difficult, other that finding replacements for Kane (hopefully Parrott is good enough by then) and Son.

I wouldn't be totally negative. The American backers of Liverpool and United are backed by American free money. The oil and gas companies that own Chelsea and City just turn the taps on. We cant compete with that.
Everyone complains at the corporations for being so in control but who goes down the a bloke who owns say 5 shops and blasts him for not buying more gear.
Mourinho needs some success..wins etc...then needs to tell Levy what he needs realistically.
Also can you imagine the situation with this Amazon movie if we regress????
Remember when we were bottom Levy bought that bunch of players

Have a feeling the Liverpool well will be cut back on soon. FSG is cutting the spend back a ton on their crown jewel in Boston
