Well, it's gonna be one hell of a ride.

He has to know the spending limitations so I'm inclined to think we might see a slightly different Jose for a short time anyway.

One thing is for sure. Our team is gonna be back to playing to it's best in no time.

Appointed as head coach eh...

Wonder if that means we’ll be getting a direct of football again to sort out our recruitment issues?

As far as on the field goes, I guess this is it.

Modern day domestic football in the last two decades, a manager who has won things throughout the continent ...

Let's hope we do. I'd die happily if I never had to see a Daniel Levy led transfer window ever again.

I’m so torn. It’s like I’ve lost a favourite son and the kid from next door who has always been throwing stones at my greenhouse had suddenly appeared to help out. But he tells me that to repair the greenhouse he need £200m and I just don’t have it.

mind you if it helps humiliate the chav next door neighbours on the other side maybe it’s worth paying the dosh.

The Spurs way is gone... I don't know how I feel about this. Im still so gutted for Poch. He needed backing and support. He did so much for us.

I will fully back him and wish him every success with us. For so long we have been the nearly men and like him or not, this guy knows how to win. He is tactically astute and is not afraid to change things which I welcome.

He has said that he has tried to analyse his approach with his new team and hopefully he can transfer that to the players. He will 100% command respect from them.

Come on Jose, take us to that next level!

Excited by that, Jose in! This squad is perfect for him.

Well at least for now i'm excited. But after a few games when we play this boring style of football I might go back to my usual - but I pray that we can win a trophy along the way.

Now time to get behind the new manager.

So considering it's a contract that extends past this season I reckon that Levy have been in contact with Mourinho for a quite a while.

All along we sat here discussing how Levy didn't dare to pull the trigger for various reasons. But in reality this wasn't a decision made in haste. Levy took his time, set up not an interim coach but a new coach on a longer contract.

I'll always held Mourinho in high regard as a tactician and his "football brain" is as good as it gets. But naturally and like the sentiment seem to be around here I can't say I'm fond of his character. To be honest I've always thought that the PL is a bit more entertaining when Mourinho is involved. He's an almost cartonish figure at times.

No matter how you twist and turn it I do feel like Mourinho is the right kind of manager for us at this stage. Similarly to how Pochettino was the right man in 2014.
