@Trix it looked different today, maybe a tactical tweak, but I don't really see this stuff on the pitch much, thoughts mate?
I thought Johnson and Kulu were interchanging more than normal. Looked like Johnson was second striker at times. He's better picking the ball up further inside and Kulu adaptable to both.

Yes really saw what I wanted today, both Son and Johnson playing narrower meaning theyre in shooting positions rather than isolated out wide, not as much congestion from the full backs inverting. V good tweaks by Ange, we looked a proper side, could've scored 6 or 7 today quite easily. Also helped that Madders put on a clinic and great to see Rodrigo back to his best - first time I've been convinced his best is still in there. Most convincing performance in months, we're on the right path, just got to keep going.

Far better today than what we have seen recently, we where using the overloads well, and thought that in particular Kulu and Bentancur where being far more progressive and attempting something rather than playing a safer ball.

Would have been nice to get the 3rd earlier so we could relax a bit more.
Ref seemed biased, gave them a lot of free kicks and didnt give us for the same offence.
A criticism is Maddison shouldn’t have taken his shirt off for a cheap booking.
Overall a good day at the office for the team👍

Did we see some tweaks tactically today?

To me it looked like both Porro and Udogie were playing and staying much wider and making more overlapping runs and not over crowding the middle which allowed Kulu and Madders to really effect the game more, same with Sonny he seemed to drift more inside when we had the ball and Udogie was wide.

We also didn't seem to commit as many far forward I thought but our pressing was even more together than it has been.

Maybe it was the way Brentford played but I definitely feel like the full backs weren't as heavily involved inside than they have been and it gave us more space.
Tbf some tweaks is what most of the criticism of him have recently have asked for despite the hyperbole of people wanting him sacked. Worked brilliantly today, full credit to Ange

The chat has been about Ange being under pressure, both here and in the media but the crowd were fully behind him and the team today.

We conceded a daft goal early and yet the South were singing and cheering.

Lots to be happy about and definitely a step in the right direction.

Those tactical tweaks are exactly what we are looking for and what was needed, sacrificed a lot of possession but was a lot more dangerous with the ball.

forwards still wasteful which is crazy considering we scored 3, that isn't on Ange.

Very well managed performance from
the big man.

I didn’t notice Udogie much wide in the final third, maybe in a couple triangles with Son/Madders? He had plenty of good runs though. Could be wrong?

Definitely saw Porro overlapping, very happy to see it.

I think the pressure talk is just how quickly things can change in football.

We all remember Ramos winning a trophy, having a terrible end to the season then after a disastrous 8 games getting fired.

Managers are always under pressure. Poch thought if we lost to Villa in his first or second season he was going to get sacked.

I think Ange has plenty of time but a long string of bad results can floor any manager.

Maybe, but it feels like Ange is under pressure earlier than usual.

I think it's mostly talk and analysis more than anything. I don't think he's under real pressure.
I think calling it analysis is being kind. Every game is now a “must win” and anything other than doing so invites a LOT of negativity on here.

Today was very good and I’m glad to see that people are happy but we’ve got what is still a relatively new setup and it’ll be up and down for a while.

I hope Levy holds his nerve as we really need to try and see this through even if it’s not all happy clappy times.

The reaction in the ground today generally and towards Brennan in particular gives me hope.

I think that's just the way online discussion goes. There are thousands of posters on here and when things are bad, a lot of people say so. It creates the illusion that the manager is under pressure because loads of us are saying things are currently bad.

It's not reality, just talk.

It is just talk but it also builds momentum and almost becomes the reality.

An example is set pieces where people are still complaining how bad we are at them but I think we’ve only conceded from one and generally dealt well with them.

Still love Ange. He’s made watching us fun again, for me. Thought we weredecent today.

Anyone know what was up with Romero at full time, that he went straight off the pitch rather than walking round with the rest of them?

Really happy for ange today. Shows the players are on the same page and the pressing in unison by everyone was fantastic which is why Brentford made a lot of mistakes trying to play out from the back. Maddison was the puppet master. More of this style please!

Than usual? This is his second season, right?
Than other recent Spurs managers. He seems under pressure more quickly than Conte, who was under pressure more quickly than Jose.

Nuno doesn’t count as he was an anomaly who was under pressure from the moment he was announced.

Dunno, feels like we had to be patient whilst building the new stadium, then had to be patient because Covid didn’t allow us to make the most of the new stadium and now (online at least) it feels like patience is thin.
