  • They have lost seven of their past 11 top-flight matches, only earning points in that run against relegated pair Burnley and Sheffield United, promoted Leicester City and bottom of the table Everton.
  • Tottenham have conceded 26 set-piece goals in the Premier League since the start of last season, second only to Nottingham Forest's 27

It actually looks to me like we've made efforts to improve on defending set pieces.

We've so far only conceded one to Arsenal, and have scored a few ourselves. Players are now surrounding Vicario and offering him more protection. This to me looks like a manipulated statistic to make a point where there isn't such a big point to make.

Yes, since the start of last season we've conceded 26, but since the start of this season, since the apparent efforts to improve we've conceded 1 to the best attacking set piece team in the league.

I don’t know what you’ve done or said, but I’m so happy you’ve done it. Well up Ange, this is the type of football we want to see.

It feels god damn good to know you impatient short sighted fools are eating crow with this result. Every Celtic supporter said we need to be patient as it will be bumpy.

“EnGlAnD IsNt ScOtlAnD oR JaPaN or AuStRaLiA - ThOsE TaCtIcS WoNt WoRk.”

For all the haters - you need to remember that experience is sometimes more important than the league you came from.

Poetic justice beating a team that is known for defensive tactics today.

10/10 game approach and management from Big Ange today. Finally some tweaks in his setup. Trust the damn process and be patient, it will pay off. Now on to smash Qarabag and really kickstart our season. COYS!

A good win. Brentford's been a difficult fixture ever since they were promoted so this restored some confidence lost from earlier this week.

We looked a lot more threatening on the ball and moved the ball with purpose, just not for the sake of it. Lots of work still to be done but improvement is improvement.

Wouldn't blame him today even if we lost, team was set up for success and it was up to the players to finish those chances. It wasn't just boring side passing in the middle, we were creating great chances in the final third.

Possession without purpose is pointless. Much rather this tbh. Both would of course be nice but...

What are we now pro or sack ange. to my point before go through the process do the three seasons and then assess. That was a performance like Ange’s first 10 games. Still not complete control, but we just do not know as he hasn't had the time to get it right every week to challenge. Clowns were saying if we dont win tonight Ange is done. ….The mentality is so weak, its why they are not elite in their own fields and rest all their hopes on a football result each weak. Assess Ange season 3 not now… criticize his tactics or selection but watch it play out as at least we have built oN a joint goal and philosophy. Ask him to adapt and evolve, of course, and if he doesnt he wont survive but he can still stick to his over riding approach. It was a massive difference from the game vs Coventry, yet the bed wetting was embarrassing

Much less possession, much more chances created. No coincidence with the players we have in forward positions that they are way more effective with more direct play.

The way I see it, we all know about Levy/Enic's priorities of making money blah blah blah but they can't invest now till Jan. But the ones who can have a huge impact from now to Jan window with our season is the senior players having been here for some time now stepping up by rasing their performance levels.

100% agree mate. Was so good to see the players step up today though. Players like Maddison, Johnson and Bentancur I felt really upped their game and took on more responsibility. So good to see :)

Did you put a bet on? 🥂

Unfortunately not! Oh well, the 3 points are more than enough of a prize :D

I remember Romeros v Everton. The others?

I should fkin hope we are working on them, because no team with aspirations of 4th could let in that many. Surprised Frank didn't really work Vic over today.

Anyway I'm trying to enjoy a good win, so lets fck this off for now!
