Heard first lot of players are due back Saturday 6thdoes anyone know when we return for pre season?
Why don't you ring him up mateI know Ange always starts every season with the aim of us winning the league/every competition but I'd love to know in his mind what he realistically thinks we need to sign to really challenge for the league for example and if based on this summers plan he thinks its enough or if he knows realistically it'll not be until the season after this that our squad is robust and strong enough.

Some of us might not have 3 to 4 years mateJust bringing this over here as I can't post in the Desire thread, posted by @mil1lion:
We seem to be in this great position at the moment where we can sign the best prospects across Europe. We have the ffp room to spend good money where others don't. We have a manager who players love and want to play for. We are back on Europe so they will get time to play. The great thing with Ange is he takes the pressure off them and allows them to play free. So I'm not surprised if he wants to be here especially after Dragusin and Bergvall chose us over Bayern and Barca.
For me we are now in a crucial period as a club. We need to start to win things soon so we don't become a stepping stone. Right now we are in position to sign these prospects but we will need to be in position to keep them in 5 years. That will only happen if we take the next step and start to win things. Right now we can enjoy this new era and all these exciting young players coming in. This could really be the new Busby babes/Fergies fledglings era with us.
I think this 'playing free' is one of the things that Ange must talk about in his phone calls with players, and everything people read / hear about his training methods must also be very tempting for players.
And I hope by soon you mean in 3/4 years, @mil1lion? Because first of all we will need to be patient. I'm super excited to see what Ange's famed second season looks like for Tottenham, but if the current ITK comes to pass it will be kind of like year one again, so we will definitely need a lot of patience and understanding before we really kick on in a couple of years. None of this #Angeout crap if we have a similar run to the end of last season at some point (even if it's the first ten games this time around). And then - Ange's Angels here we come!
We did in May.Didn't we only recently re-hire Gardiner?
Chris Davies has raided his old club Tottenham to add another face to his new coaching team at Birmingham City in the shape of Nathan Gardiner.
Davies left his role as Ange Postecoglou's senior assistant coach at Spurs this summer in order to take up his first role as a manager at League One side Birmingham City. The 39-year-old has previously been assistant manager to Brendan Rodgers at Leicester and Celtic but is now ploughing his own furrow at the Midlands club following their relegation from the Championship last season.
This month he has moved to take Tottenham's head of sports science Gardiner with him to Birmingham, with the 47-year-old joining as first team assistant coach in Davies' new-look coaching team along new assistant manager Ben Petty.
Not sure its a big loss, back in my football manager days - I sacked Gardiner in every save.
thanks - didn't realise some of them are that tall. Hopefully they can be taught to head the ball away from more corners next season- opponents not our own naturallyJust noticed that all of the youngsters we’ve signed under Ange are real units physically:
VDV - 1.93m
Vuskovic - 1.93m
Phillips - 1.92m
Dragusin - 1.91m
Gray - 1.87m
Veliz - 1.86m
Bergvall - 1.86m
Johnson - 1.86m
For reference, the average height of a PL footballer is 1.82m. Everton have the tallest squad in the PL with an average height of 1.86m.
It’s worth also noting that Ange brought down the average age of the squad drastically as well, from the 4th oldest (27.1) to the 3rd youngest (25.0) which is surely set to reduce even further with those about to join, the planned outgoings and the names that have been linked as incomings.
I have to say it’s very reminiscent of the squad rebuild that Arsenal have undergone in recent years both in terms of the overall direction and profiles of players we’re recruiting. Not a bad blueprint to follow.
Also, so many of this group just feel like prototypically “modern” players. Bergvall and Gray are almost perfect specimens that may as well have been created in a lab. The likes of VDV and Udogie have every attribute you could ask for from a modern defender. Doue would be the same in attack. The recruitment team really are doing an amazing job.
Yep height isn’t everything, the main area of weakness in VDV’s game is heading and being 1.93m is just a start point.thanks - didn't realise some of them are that tall. Hopefully they can be taught to head the ball away from more corners next season- opponents not our own naturally

Sorry to break it to you, mate; but if you haven´t received the info on time and place by now it means you´re not part of the squad for this preseason.does anyone know when we return for pre season?
