He’s an assistant. Of course he’ll have an input into tactics.

To add to that it’s his mentality that disturbed me most. His determination to keep doing the same thing time and again and expecting different results for that length of time with absolutely zero evidence of it ever working was incredible.
He's just a coach, on the same level as Mason, Jedinak etc.

Matt Wells has been named as the "Senior Assistant Coach", with Montgomery, Jedinak, Mason and Raimundo as "Assistant Coaches".

Happy to see Wells promoted, he’s clearly highly rated.

I reckon this will be Mason’s last season with us, as I can see him leaving to start his management career.

Think it will be good for him too.

I thought this might be why he wasn't made Assistant, he seems to be the next Manager out of the staff.

Ange needs to do something with our midfield , bit of a worrying stat on the PL site of the contribution from some of our midfielders.

Towards the end of 2023/24, Postecoglou became increasingly unhappy with his central midfield unit, who lost some of the energy they had displayed earlier in the campaign.
So, there is now a sense that Spurs will look to recruit at least one top-class player in this position during the window.
That target will need to be industrious, but also someone who contributes more inside the final third than those in place already. Pape Sarr produced a respectable three goals and three assists, but Rodrigo Bentancur, Yves Bissouma, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp provided only one goal and one assist combined.
They all made less than one key pass per 90 minutes, so Postecoglou must find somebody a little more creative.

Just to clarify is the Central Coast Mariners a fishing club, a sea rescue operation or a football team?
