Feel like I’d prefer him to be preparing for next season rather than his post-managerial career…
He can scout players whilst doing punditry. It really isn't that big of a deal. Will make ITV coverage more watchable though. He isn't the first active manager/player to do tournament work and he won't be the last.

I think Ange has done a very good job in his first season despite some of the shocking end of season performances. . As has been said several times the final table doesn’t lie and 5th place is where we deserved to be. Europa League qualification was good for our progression.
‘Remember that in Jose’s first year we clinched a Europa League spot on the final day of the season and we settled for that. In Conte’s first year we clinched a Champions League spot on the final day and we were happy with that. In fact everyone was singing Conte’s praises at the time.
in both cases things went badly wrong in their second years . Not saying that will happen with Ange but let’s not go overboard one way or the other until year 2 unfolds.

Agreed but also id hope we aren't relying on this tournament to scout players.

Our targets and knowledge of players should be sorted way before it starts.

I guess success will depend on his ability to tweak his system/tactics in the same way Pep gets praised for.
Are we going to show teams something different? Or are we going to look the same but with a few different faces?

I never said we would be exclusively scouting players there, and by the sounds of it we already have plans in place. I just think Ange can get a good look himself whilst working TV. If we have a list of players and they're going to play in the Euros then it's a good chance for him to see them with his own eyes.

UK Euro 2024 coverage: 📺 𝐁𝐁𝐂: Wayne Rooney, Joe Hart, Thomas Frank, Alan Shearer, Frank Lampard, Cesc Fabregas, Micah Richards, Rio Ferdinand

📺 𝐈𝐓𝐕: Ian Wright, Roy Keane, Gary Neville, Karen Carney, Graeme Souness, Eni Aluko, Ange Postecoglou

Personal rant on this - Why do ITV insist on having women pundits for men's games, you never see it the other way around

Badly wrong? Conte took us from 4th to 4th.

I’m appalled too.

Heard some of the pundits weren’t even born in this country.

If they know the game and talk well about it, it doesn't matter what gender they are.
I'd rather listen to Karen Carney than a large number of the male "pundits".

It's a modern world now mate and it's really not worth getting your knickers in a twist about.

Ian Wright is always on the ITV women's football coverage. While gender might impact the way you can play the game it has no bearing on someone's understanding of it.

i could take or leave Aluko, don't find her particulalry insightful. but then neither are the majority of pundits, male or female.

Have to disagree on Carney though. I like listening to her, amd she really comes across as knowledgable.

If if could choose to have a pint and chat about footie with a choice of Carney, or say, Joe Cole, Big Meeks and countless others...I'm choosing Karen all day long.

I'd imagine due to the fact BBC show quite a lot of women's games they have the ability to give female pundits opportunities from there.

She's shit mate, and does nothing to forward the case for female punditry to be more widespread. I agree regarding Carney though she matches up to most of the male pundits imo.
