Would qualifying for the Champions League this year see us really progress that much? It hasn't over the last 4-5 years.
I was "happy" with options 1 and 2, but option 3 seems a bit weird, but to each their own.Thought they’re was only two camps on this debate, but turns out there was three.
1. People who wanted us to win.
2. People who begrudgingly wanted us to lose.
3. People who enjoyed watching us lose.
Personally still think the debate between the first two groups is perfectly reasonable and can understand both sides.
But the people in group 3 that actually enjoyed watching that match I can’t understand at all.
Was sick to my stomach watching that match. As much as I’ve hated watching a game in my life I’d say.
If it does, a cup final against spurs u21 could be on the cards!Good luck to him, hope he does well!
Who knows mate, I'm just on the side of the fence rhat want to go as high as possible.
I'm also on the side of the fence that 5th has been a pretty good season overall too, considering last year's league efforts too
If only you knew pal, honestly though, I get the silver lining side of things, I really do.
I'm just on the side that I don't really care much about rivals, so seeing thr fanbase focus a lot on rivals instead of us, didn't sit well - just a difference of opinion is all
We literally still had the chance to qualify for the champions league. If that's not something to play for then I don't know what is.yeh, half a season ago
Imagine it was relegation or Arsenal winning the league? We would probably encounter the same nonsense
yeh we did but we lost, we also lost 5 of the last 6 and that wasn't down to the fans.We literally still had the chance to qualify for the champions league. If that's not something to play for then I don't know what is.
Yes very , could get even worse, Chelsea win next two and we lose in Sheffield (Mcburnie headers from corners) means Chelsea will finish above us , just think of all the mickey taking on social media channels, fortunately something I don't participate in.So potentially spursy then
id love to win a European cupChampion of Europe
That’s because they didn’t have a means by which to directly influence it.I don't remember that same level of hype over Arsenal fans not wanting us to win the CL. The fact that we are not at their level is undeniable and I think that's why it feels like we are always the 'spoiler'.
Us the fans didn't exactly help the team try and win last night did we? In fact, some did exactly the opposite.yeh we did but we lost, we also lost 5 of the last 6 and that wasn't down to the fans.

I agree which is why his comments weren’t the best. Not because he was wrong (though my interpretation of it I would say I disagree with him) but because they weren’t thought through and came from an emotive place and one of frustration. He should clarify what he meant really as he was deliberately vague so no surprise fans are jumping on certain bits.Absolutely, but we've had fans booing the team at half time because we aren't winning. As a match going fan, I support anyone's right to support how they choose, they spend their money and can do what they like, but there's no way it's healthy.
I also think the fact that so many people on here have zeroed in on his comments and made it all about the fans when what he said was around issues inside and outside of the football club, is exactly the fragility I'm talking about. For all we know he could be talking about Levy, pundits and Bentancur, but loads seem to have decided he's attacking them personally - all a bit weird.
