With Chelsea hilariously losing today, Ange will be one of the frontrunners for the manager of the month award. But it'll probably be given to legohead just for beating City.

Hands up, I wanted Poch back. Elated to say I was wrong & we have the man to take us onward & upward.
Poch was my 4th or 5th choice. Fuck knows where Ange was, probably about 10th. Good job neither of us are involved in the hiring process though I like to think that if I was the one interviewing Ange he would’ve Jedi mind tricked me and I would’ve hired him anyway.

If Ange wins it I'm definitely going to feign outrage in front of Arsenal fans. "...but Arteta beat City ffs"

On a serious note though, only one manager has won all league matches in October and he says mate a lot.

Edit - and I didn't realise before just looking at the table for October but that clear-hand-ball-that-should-never-have-stood against Palace was the only goal we conceded.

One win over City shouldn't dictate it. I get they're still unbeaten as well, but we have won all our games in October. That should be what gives it to Ange (again).
It shouldn't, but it might. Last season's two title rivals is the biggest game of the season so far, and it's Arteta's first win over Pep for a long time.

Yeah, finally beating the guy who used to shout at him for lining the cones up wonky does have a Hollywood redemption arc twinge to it...

Dropped points to mid table Chelsea though. Not sure how subjective the voting process is
I agree that this should count against them, Brentford have just gone there and won 2-0 to ram it home as well. Chelsea have won just one home game all season- indeed, just one in 2023 and against Luton! Every pundit fully expected Arsenal to win that game.

And the coping with the pressure of going top and staying top in a very un-Spurs-like manner surely counts too!

Sadly I think the win over Man City will sway this one, despite their other draw. Postecoglou has been faultless, but the fixtures didn’t really offer him a chance. Hopefully I’m wrong.
