There's definitely an element of the Jose factor though. After all the talk of sacking Jose before the final, Levy will be very reluctant to sack Ange while 1-0 up halfway through a semi-final. He may feel (and this argument carries some weight with me too) that he deserves the chance to see if he can get through that semi-final.
I think our chances of beating Liverpool at Anfield are pretty miniscule, but slightly less miniscule with Ange going for it, rather than Wells or Mason, so why not.

Oh yeah you did. He seems to be a less crazy version of De Zerbi. What I like about his set up is the press, it's a lot more coordinated.

Agree, it's too early now but if somehow Ange gets to the end of the season he'll probably be on the list. I'm sure Paratici will recommend him.
I got to be honest mate, given Lange’s connections I have this concerning feeling Frank will be the top choice.

Maybe instead of sacking and starting a new 18 month cycle we keep him and do another 18 month cycle anyway. So this is like the first window under a new manager and we're not backing him. Just tell the players we changed manager and get Ange to wear a fake beard and glasses. We get the new manager bounce with the same end result but don't have to do a new manager thread.
You think we haven’t done that already?😏

Xg is absolutely pointless, there is not one game we lost that we deserved to win, probably deserved 2 draws v Newcastle
It is pointless across single game or very small sample sizes, it is certainly not pointless over larger sample sizes - and far more directionally valuable than most any other metric.

The way he stands on the sidelines not saying anything really at all to the team during games. No idea whether this is a problem or not but I don’t see any (literally any) top managers who take this approach and I find it very peculiar.
I believe that this is why most people are frustrated in game.
like “why he is not doing anything?!”
because most people’s perception / opinions / observations of a football manager on the touchline is one who seems to be consistently reacting and trying to do something.
I get why the appearance annoys people, but I don’t really see this as an argument. I’ve seen managers win CLs (last year in fact) without raising more than an eyebrow and I’ve seen hopeless managers bound around the box like the Duracell bunny’s off his meds.
Which is why we are all prejudiced and biased already.

“A good manager would have done something”
“Ange doesn’t tweak”
“If it’s not working, then why is he persisting”

I’m genuinely curious why no journalist has asked him about this or if he’s covered it in his book before?

I mean it definitely can change that quickly. We’ve got a lot of talent in the squad and the younger players are going to get better. We played Ipswich in mid-November and with a win we go 3rd. We’ve had a disastrous 2 months, pretty much everything has gone wrong but we have a lot of upside if it goes right
Give me the name of your therapist. I want some of what he's telling you :cautious:
