I suppose he'll get a few more weeks..if we go out of the cups and our league form continues then he's gone I guess.
Levy doesn't care about the cups. Risk of relegation might spur (har) him into action, but it'll be reactionary. I genuinely don't trust him to know how to deal with a relegation fight. Last time we were this far down he hired Redknapp. Who is today's equivalent?

Has the window closed?

Mate if they were strongly backing Ange we would of bodies in first week of January.

And January might be difficult, but we're that prudent it shouldn't be difficult for us to push the boat out a bit.

It's like the old saying regarding your girl.

Pay attention to what she's doing, not what she's saying. Two very different things.

Levy is doing fuck all because he knows there's a good chance he',s going to have to pull the trigger soon.

I can't believe how many people he still fools.

Its embarrassing.

First week: The window has just opened
Second week: It is only xx-th
Third week: The window is still open
Final week: It is fine as long as the player joins before the window closes
After the window closes: It is difficult to do business in Jan

🤷‍♂️

You can't just pluck players out of thin air. Other clubs want to negotiate, play games, delay to get back ups in. Then there is negotiations with the player/agent themselves.

Have some perspective. It's not a computer game. Where is there players of the quality we need ready to come in Jan 1.

I'd rather due diligence taken than rush buy/loan another werner

So what we need is a manager:
  • Happy to play and develop the kids
  • With a strong attacking style of play that will keep the fans happy
  • Who's not a moaning **** who throws his toys out of the pram at the first sign of problems
  • Who's happy that this is a project and wants to lay the foundations for future success
Right?
Yep, and that last point is the problem for Ange.

What we're seeing isn't a foundation for anything. You build off of stable foundations not suicidal attack only tactics.

This was after Forest and Newcastle respectively. We really, really need to wise up to this. Injuries or not, we're circling the drain:

Also you a month or so earlier...
I have been enormously skeptical of Ange and his football for a while, and vocally so. But the Man City game convinced me of where we are and what we're doing.

Yeah, we're up and down depending on the opposition. But as a neutral mate was telling me last Friday, he looks forward to seeing us on the telly, because our games are so entertaining.

We aren't trying to bore the other team to death, we're simply trying to play football, and win with a flourish. All the Bill Nick hallmarks.

So we drew against roma, we'll probably do something mad against Fulham. But when we know we can put 4 past Man City, Villa, Man Utd etc... I just feel that this is all going to be worth it.

So that's it... I'm in.
It's a tricky one. I've been skeptical from the start, but think it's a waste of time sacking him now.

We didn't have a massive injury crisis either from last November to this November. A whole year. Sure we had some injuries but not like they are now.

We were still very inconsistent.
From the start of this season until the end of November we were consistently only 3 points (I.e. one game) off of 3rd/4th spot. The results were there this season until injuries hit, that is a fact.

Agreed, even City who clearly want to get several players in this window and who have all the resources in the world have currently signed no-one officially as of yet.

Wow i can't believe we are 2pts behind West ham a badly run joke football club who have lost 2 fewer games than us decided to sack their manager because their board and fanbase thought the results were unacceptable. Meanwhile we think we should keep our manager who's doing even worse than banter club FC
Probably because we actually have a long term strategy. We've signed a lot of young prospects, the academy has been improved and now we have genuine potential to come from there. Things are bad now but we have literally knocked everything down and built form the ground up. This season is a massive write off but we are showing more of a plan than Utd and West Ham. Whether it pays off remains to be seen and I'm not sure if Ange is the best person to develop them. He hasn't been anywhere long enough to know. I can at least understand why people want to give him more time to find out though.
