Someone said to me last night that they were surprised he hasn't upped and walked. It hadn't occurred to me before but I guess this si a job he sees as a true challenge. And one he doesn't want to pass up

No one walks away from the money he's on. It's his job and income.

Not to mention the package he'll receive if (when) he gets the axe.

He's not that daft.

This was after Forest and Newcastle respectively. We really, really need to wise up to this. Injuries or not, we're circling the drain:

I’m not even sure more players matters. We would need 3 squads the way he eats through hamstrings
Quite.
for a start how many CBs do we need ?

3 have been injured this season and multiple time in the case of VDV and Romero

It's completely unrealistic to continue picking up injuries at the rate and achieve anything, it's also unrealistic for a club to have that many players to cover

Is there actually a thought they’d sack him now?

It could explain the limited links to anyone other than a dry loan for the PSG striker. Sounds like Kinsky was identified by the data guys and perhaps they liked him no matter who’s coaching the team but they’re reluctant to make big commitments to Ange’s system otherwise.

It would also follow from the public endorsement a few weeks back, which is usually a kiss of death for coaches.
Has to be being considered considering our league position and form but the lack of transfers or ambition on the pitch is just standard under this ownership, nothing to do with if Ange is being considered to be sacked or not imo

I wonder what reception he gets from the fans on Sunday.

I suspect he is too much of a gent to get outright booed but if he does I think the board have a choice to make. They have no nerve they can hold.

City looking like they're gonna spunk C. 150 mill quid on 4 players in Jan and we're looking at short term loans rather than pushing/trying for long term scouted players. They must be some top quality players then if they can't be got in a January window. Exciting times ahead.

I don't know who they said, and i know this wouldn't be popular in here but we could do a lot worse than Gareth Southgate. To follow Ange, you will need someone with integrity to build on the culture Ange has instilled. He's a pragmatic manager, good coach, experience coaching world class players, dull football at international level but effective, and he openly said it was a strategic choice for tournament football to be hard to beat.

I think he'd work well with our new data orientated approach and has the leadership skills to be the manager of spurs - which is a huge, high pressure job. Something he also has experience of, i mean England manager is the most high pressure job there is.

The only downside is, I don't think he would come. We'd be lucky if he did. He wouldn't be a popular choice but I think he could be our Ranieri.

Yep. Let’s do a complete about-turn again. Just like Poch to Mourinho to Conte to Ange.
I don’t think Ange is the right man but I would literally give up if we appointed Southgate.

This article is crazy. I know some will scoff at data and not want to hear it, but it's wild to see just how insane of an outlier our season is in premier league history and how much better the team's performances have been than the table shows.

According to underlying numbers and performance level, we're on a very similar pace to last year and should be in an absolutely comfortable position in the table, yet we just aren't getting the points our play has deserved.

The comparison to Klopp's last season at Dortmund is fascinating too. Shows how sometimes you just can't legislate for chance and variance in football. If the club is embracing the data model fully, they'll be seeing this too and no doubt it's playing into their decision of sticking with Ange further.
