Just to recap what you have above, you want to win next 5 games in a row and then 2 of the next 3, so you want 7 wins in next 8 games. Have you looked at the table this season?? It shows we have 7 wins out of 21 games (so 1 win in every 3 games). Over the last 49 games we have 19 wins so a 39% win rate.
So how do you think we go from those numbers/ results to winning 7 of our next 8 games?!
Couple of things. Firstly, I'm not saying we will do it. I am just saying it is what I think needs to be done for Ange to still be in a job.

Second, of those 8 games 4 are league games. Of those 4 league games look at the reverse fixtures:
  • Everton: Beat 4-0
  • United: Beat 3-0
  • Brentford Beat 3-1
  • Leicester: Drew 1-1
The 2 Europa league games are against poor sides.

It is definitely not unreasonable to expect us win our next 5 games.

The last 3. We don't actually need to beat Liverpool. Technically same with Villa.

agree with that...but i do think some of those players could do it well, with good simple instructions...also, dont we have a very good DM in the academy who weve not played again since last pre season. Was it Hall?
Nothing really in the academy, in my somewhat limited opinion of them.
Hall needs to bulk up and maybe get a decent loan because while he's very good, I don't think he's ready for the men's game at this level yet.

Bergvall may be able to do a job but again and like with Gray, we're pinning our hopes on an 18 year old.

I think Gray is possibly the only capable DM we've got at the club, which for me at least, is why we need our defenders back asap.

I think wingers are the issue here. Not enough skill and penetration to create the extra space for us to attack. Other teams wingers constantly put defenders on the back foot
I completely agree, our wingers are hamstringing us in more ways than one.
They don't defend, don't press, don't create and can't retain the ball for toffee.

We're literally at the stage where we're looking at having to rely on teenagers for the rest of the season if we don't act in the transfer market soon.
We were hoping to ease Moore in during the season but at present, I'd be looking to start the kid every game because he's the only wide player with anything about him.
How long til Odobert is back?

What a sad state of affairs to be in.

If you want to make that comparison fairly, you should pick 8 games from Ange randomly and see what the points per game are. Or at least pick the same games (against the same opponents).

But idk why you would do that when we know what the ppg are for his whole tenure.
Exactly, my response was about you saying Ramos ppg from that 2 points from 8 games was 0.25 and saying Anges is better at over 1ppg which was an incorrect and unfair comparison. Hence my last 8 games comparison.
If you want to compare over their tenures then it’s

Ramos- 36 games, 41 pts = 1.1ppg
Ange - 59 games, 90 pts = 1.5ppg

Cheers on the Hall update and I kinda agree on the rest but I just don't think any of them have been asked to be a DM under Ange, not sure about recent games but everything I've watched under him, the player we think might be sitting is just as attacking as the rest. Even a deep lying play maker role would improve this team. Someone whose job is not to burst forward with the rest but just hold, keep the ball moving and look for opportunities. We do lack a 6 but we can find someone in the squad to effectively fill in until we sign one in addition to Gray - who is perfect.

Last-minute cramming usually catches up to a C-grade student who would be an B/A-grade student if they just applied themselves a little.

Last summer was the moment for our club. This season the result.

Do we think Levy would be gone if we got relegated?
I don't think we'll get relegated but it will be close on current form.

The real moments were summers 2017, 2018 and 2022. Last summer was too late.

Enic and the board.
Let's face it we are an investment to them

Half of the board are people he arrived with, which is part of the problem. They've all been left behind by the new chairmen that have come in.

Levy and co have wound down the effort and focus and this is the result. They've focused on infrastructure which is having little affect on the pitch. Eventually it will also be surpassed as people upgrade stadiums and training grounds. It's all vanity but it has nothing to do with winning.

It’s gone totally under the radar because it was just an off hand comment on a podcast but at the start of the season Jack Pitt-Brooke said that one of our priorities is sustainable success. That adds up with the cutting of the wage bill and the focus on youth.

it’s only a bad decision if you care about winning. Something Levy and his cronies blatantly don’t.

I see your point but what I meant originally is that 2 points in 8 games was within a single season and that kind of points record really did threaten us with relegation, whereas now even if we continued gaining points at the rate we have in the last 8 games, we’d be very unlikely to get relegated, and especially not if we pick up points at the same average as we have this entire season

We’ve got 4 points from the last 8 games. Picking up points at that rate would see us finishing on 33 points. Could well be a relegation figure.
43 for the overall season would see us safe for sure.
