Our results over the last 12 months have been awful, even when we had most of the players available, so if people think once Romero and VDV are back the results will immediately pick up, the last year doesn’t back this up.
Although, having them back and Grey and Bergval in midfield does offer some hope and is an improvement on them with Sarr and Bissouma / the current set up.

I really miss the optimistic rating right now.

Fear warps rational thinking. We're objectively very very unlikely to be relegated and the odds reflect that.

If the club was even worried about it they could wager a million pounds on our relegation and be paid out 250,000,000 if it comes to pass.

Why? It just reads like you’re talking from an emotional point if view rather than anything based in fact.
Of course it's emotional. You can't prove a point like this with Fact as it's hypothetical. Poch is the only one of our former managers that I think would throw them in like Ange has. Maybe klopp would, but most managers would just re+purpose senior players when they are up against it

I don’t know why so many people in here give so much importance to wages.
theres a lot of overpaid mediocre players in arsenal and Liverpool
Because it means we can’t compete. The amount of players we’ve lost out on because we won’t pay the wages is ridiculous.

That’s not strictly true but ok. Our league position and results are facts, and of course we all can have an opinion on what is the best way forward but the post I replied to was so hyperbolic I felt it deserved a response.
True but it was just that person’s opinion too and so far, it would appear that DL is not minded to sack Ange.

My main problem is that we can sack him but without investing heavily in players we will be in the same situation in 1 year time. Ok maybe 9 place but what's the difference. And still I have more faith in Ange winning games than in our board to invest. So yeah I dont know what's next really...

I'm sorry, but Gray and Bergvall will be generational for us and that doesn't happen without Ange.

We need to suck it up now and we'll reap the rewards in the future. Don't give up now.
Im pretty sure he won’t have personally identified them! The scouting department and Lange take the credit for that, he’s played them because they are able to walk and don’t have residency in the treatment room. But he has played them and needs some credit for that.

Last season it took 27 points to avoid relegation. Probably will be a little more this season, but even so it would only take 2-3 wins in the remainder of the season to put us in the clear.

If you don't think we'll do that you need to pay more attention. We've beaten teams like City twice, Liverpool in the cup, Man United in the cup and in the league, and we thrashed Villa and Everton. This teams has results in it but it's just inconsistent. We'll get enough random wins through the rest of the season.
Have you seen enough fight in this team over the last 6 weeks to suggest they have the stomach and the stones for a relegation fight?

Inconsistent is one thing, but we've been absolutely dreadful for weeks now. Weeks.

And if we lose to Everton on Sunday then we'll be 15th. Fifteenth!! This is Tottenham Hotspur. Regardless of what you think the problem is, be it the club, or the manager, or both as I do in this case, that is unacceptable.

A season in the bottom half isn't something the club will sit up and take note of and its not going to wave a magic wand and make everything ok. We aren't too good to go down, but we are too big to go down. But those two don't mean a damn thing and if we get dragged further down the table this squad hasn't got the fight in it to get out of it.

Im sorry, but im quite a positive person, however, we keep giving away unnecessary soft goals before half time.

Its shit game management. Its on him

Better than moaning about the burgers they serve up at Preston or being attacked by the Millwall apes.
Were it a binary choice, I would tend to agree but I’m not on the relegation panic train personally.

They’re not backing him because they’ve lost faith in him IMO, most probably and understandably because of the hideous results he keeps serving up.
No they're not backing him because this is what they do.

The players we need would still be required under a new manager so it doesn't make sense not to ge them in.

Ange is never going to play two 18 year olds in midfield.
Gray and Bergvall wouldn't have had a look in if we had kept our players fit, Ange can't take the credit as he's had no choice but to play them as there's nobody else!

He's been the highlight of the season and we only see small glimpse of him compared to training etc

Bit scary he's only playing because of injuries
I'm not sure that's true, fair to say he's only playing in the positions he is playing in because of injuries but without them I have no doubt he'd have been playing in midfield at some point like Bergval.
