The only days that are close/need to prioritise are semi final 1st leg of EFL with the FA Cup v Tamworth (which is a no brainer to prioritise the EFL) and the 2nd leg with the FA Cup 4th round, which if we still have a chance in the Semi final, we should prioritise the EFL then too.

Well yeah.

I meant, hypothetically, all things being even...had we a semi final in each (against similar opposition) for example. I'd prioritise the FA Cup.

100 pages an hour on Ange yet the Levy thread is dead. Sad times indeed.
Yep. Ultimately the board always escapes responsibility. Such a passive fan base these days really - guess that’s the result of being made into an entertainment venue in London

I’m more Ange in than I’ve ever been. Everything was against him today - refereeing, commentators, media/pundits, certain sections of our own fanbase - this just makes me back him all the more. The players are clearly all in on what he’s trying to do, fuck it so am I!!

Unfortunately there’s at least weekly and usually bi-weekly stimulus to the discourse on Ange. We’re stuck drawing tenuous or historic links to Levy’s actions in the Levy thread seeing as much of the happenings of that Levy will be directly involved in are not made public.

It’s not that they get away with it.

if you showed levy on the screen I’m sure he would be booed but we’re so passive we won’t even kick away fans out of the home end so there is no chance we kick off properly at him.

I despise levy, but what can I do? I can’t even afford to go anymore and it’s probably a good thing.

But thinking this manager isn’t up to it(if someone does) is a separate thing. Nobody think timo werner is the answer either but that isn’t correlated with whether levy should come or go.

What did Ange actually do wrong today? My views been made clear. We were unlucky today. Especially second half. There were 3-4 players playing who were bugged up, and taken all sorts to play. Seems some praying we loose to get him sacked. Those i question.
There's this school of thought of a player isn't ready, which managers tend to be very keen to say as you can't argue against it, as they will just add another excuse saying they weren't ready then and are up to speed

BUT ANGE is getting shown up imo right now, with his stubbornness to not rotate earlier in the season

Again im not Ange out

But he should be rightly criticised for running our first 11 in to the ground as Spence, reguillon, Gray and Bergvall should have featured more

As I said before, he is a high pressing manager, who works on intensity. He is sacrificing his intensity press by playing tired players because they are better but the team output is worse than playing "weaker" players who will run through walls.

Why?

In the last 10 years league cup winners are
City x 6
Utd x 2
Liverpool x 2
Chelsea x 1

We've won it more times than arsenal who haven't won it since 93 so would be good to keep those bragging rights too

The last 10 Fa Cup are
Arsenal x4
City x2
Utd x2
Leicester x1
Chelsea x1

Not sure how it's in any way more important
The correct word would be prestigious. In that context, it's more important.

I really hope this nice bloke with a lovely dream succeeds. That’s the beginning and the end of it for me.

surely we all do as that would mean that we’ve been successful and that is the be all and end all isn’t it. I’m as Ange out as I could possibly be but I will happily eat humble pie by the bucket load of he does turn it around and ask for second helpings as a I bask in the reflective glory of supporting a winning team.

But just a few weeks ago, people were complaining that Gray was being picked and given minutes over Spence.

Bergval got a couple of chances, once sent off and another he was lost out there, so I can understand him being eased in.for his confidence. Granted he did show some quality bit was getting up to the speed of the game

Reguilon was so out of favour by all our managers and was as good as gone.

Spence wasn't ability but question over his commitment. A decision two other managers also came to.

So it really isn't as black and white as that as none of the above were straight forward simple decisions.

But saying that, I'd have liked to see Spence more. But there was definitely more to his situation that we are not aware of.

Id also like to see Gray as a number 6

i) What commentators , media/pundits say in TV has zero impact on the ground. So thats immaterial.
ii) Mood of fans in a stadium is a result of whats happening on pitch. Like today, they told Ange they werent pleased with him subbing Bergvall.

Players are on his side - I will give you that.

Other than this, everything else is a reflection of results. If results improve, i) & ii) will be on his side

So, trying to say you are Ange in because you are trying to spite the other group - I am not so sure, how that works. This is results business especially when we are a club underperforming & sitting at 12th. If results improve, automatically mood of how others to Ange will change. If results dont improve, he is done.

Been a rocky one this year, no doubt. But this guy got us 5th in his first year in the league having lost the club’s best ever player on the eve of the new season.

He has his flaws, but I think we can stop with the ‘out of his depth’ rhetoric, surely.
He could have got us CL easily.
But decided an unfit and out of from maddison was a better fit than lo Celso.
One win would have done it.
Shades of Reg and Djed this year.
Losing 10 in 20 and burning his squad out in the process tells me he's out of his depth.
It's the way we play mate and ain't changing.
A point a game is relegation form.
If people are happy with that then fine I'm not.
I don't see anything telling me hey this could work and it's just a rough patch.

Take it more seriously? Have you not followed the league cup for however many years? FA cup is more important to the small clubs who are involved. It's no different to the top clubs and they all take both cups seriously. Neither cup gives any more to us than the other.
They are the same 'level' for sure, but the FA cup has much more prestige

It's posts like this that lead the thread to the constant bickering cycle.

Neither useful, thoughtful or insightful, just brain-dead provocation.
Are we not allowed to express opinions now? Doesn't have to be thoughtful or insightful does it. If you want an intelligent which doesn't invoke a bickering conversation then I'd suggest a thread that doesn't mention 1 plan Ange.

It's been said to death by many that Levy and ENIC are to be blamed for things. It doesn't need repeating 24/7, though I see it in the majority of threads I visit.

So just because the Levy thread (which is actually on the first page still) isn't active, it hasn't been forgotten about by anyone.

Oh? And what opinion was your post trying to put across?

I mean come on mate, you've given him a childish nickname for Christ's sake.
It's nothing more than a transparent attempt at goading "the other side".

Whilst the amount of injuries and limited number of players to rely on is undoubtedly a factor for our recent poor form, I’m neither Ange in or out.

Firstly, aside from the first 10 games of last season, Ange has demonstrated inconsistency at best in terms of results. He has failed to adapt mid game and insists on playing a specific type of football regardless of the players at his disposal. He needs to show more for me to personally be “Ange in”. Whilst he is a likeable individual, who appears to command respect from his players, staff and the media, he has to show more in terms of being a manager and a coach to turn inconsistent results into something that fans can rally behind and believe in. He can talk about his philosophy and winning in the past until the cows come home, but he has to put the words into action.

I haven’t seen consistent football that has been breathtaking or pleasing to watch under Ange’s stewardship yet. Elements of the football has been nice to watch and there have been some great games and performances but they have been seldom at best.

Secondly, I’m not “Ange out” because I don’t necessarily see what sacking him achieves right now. He deserves to be backed this transfer window and be given the chance to turn results around. Whilst he wasn’t backed sufficiently in the summer transfer window and a lot of blame needs to be placed at Levy/ENIC’s door, he is not blameless and ultimately needs to get results quick before our worst points total in how many years gets even worse.

I worry about our upcoming fixtures this month and where we may finish in the PL this season. A top half finish without European football nor silverware come May/June may see him out of a job and rightfully so. If this is the case, then we should cut ties with him and bring in another manager.

Until then, he needs to be backed properly this transfer window and afforded the time to turn results around into something more consistent and that fans can buy into.
