Yes I would have kept him.
I would have rotated him in the cups.
Same with Spence.
What I wouldn't do is try mental gymnastics to try and absolve the manager of any blame.
He's out of his depth and everyone knows it

Been a rocky one this year, no doubt. But this guy got us 5th in his first year in the league having lost the club’s best ever player on the eve of the new season.

He has his flaws, but I think we can stop with the ‘out of his depth’ rhetoric, surely.

Take it more seriously? Have you not followed the league cup for however many years? FA cup is more important to the small clubs who are involved. It's no different to the top clubs and they all take both cups seriously. Neither cup gives any more to us than the other.
FA Cup gives us significantly more - a Europa spot vs a playoff to get into the Conference

I’m Ange in and so’s my wife

That's not the same as being more important though. Maybe if you're a City you can pick what you prefer. For us and many others you don't view one domestic trophy as more important than the other.

I get your point, we want to do as well as we can in both Cups.

But if there was set of circumstances where you had to prioritise one over the other, it'd be the FA Cup

That would never happen - due to the timing of the competitions.

It would be the other way around - prioritize League Cup because you are either in the semi-final or final.

I do get what you're saying but I disagree. I would be delighted with us winning either but the FA Cup would mean more.

The FA Cup is the oldest football competition in the World. Winning it gives a Europa League place rather than the Conference, you get a place in the Community Shield and as others have mentioned the prize money is higher.

More personally I have wanted to go to Wembley and watch Spurs win an FA Cup final since I was 5. To *ME* there is a big difference between the League Cup and the FA Cup.

But neither is more important to us. We're not in any position to see either domestic cup as more important than the other.

Well beggars can’t be choosers, but I think it’s pretty obvious that the FA cup is more prestigious.

It’s like the British Open vs the Scottish Open.

Why does it always have to be one over the other? Go for both (and Europa) as best we can with the squad. We're in one semi-final and three matches away from winning it. We haven't even started the run in the other cup yet.

The only days that are close/need to prioritise are semi final 1st leg of EFL with the FA Cup v Tamworth (which is a no brainer to prioritise the EFL) and the 2nd leg with the FA Cup 4th round, which if we still have a chance in the Semi final, we should prioritise the EFL then too.

People keep saying this, but we can't know that we won't until it happens. If we stick with him until say, May, and it all goes horribly wrong, we can't turn the clock back.
True, but you can flipnthat on its head and say the same if we did appoint another manager.
We could say it might have been different if we didn't sack Ange.

It's all what if!

Watching Spurs right now definitely gives me chest pains.

But I’m still fully behind the manager.

Some might say I have Ang-in-a 👀
