I often feel like we are a club of sliding doors moments, and they’ve all slid the wrong way for the last few year… Harry Redknapp’s ill-advised interview on the gold course when Levy was at a funeral, sacked right after… had he stayed that next season, I think we ride the wave and win something. Poch, final season, had we stayed at WHL rather than moved to Wembley, I think we win something. Conte, if he hadn’t suffered 3 successive deaths close to him, including Gian Pierro… I don’t think he burns out and we progress from the previous season to win something…

But here we are… and I’m not seeing Ange’s sliding doors moment that turns something the other way right now.
Someone is messing around aren’t they. Sums up following this club. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

the

Potter would be my choice, fits the work that has been done with the data led approach the past two years. I like Ange, but the league has changed and you have to adapt to what the other teams are doing. Which we all know he's never going to do.
Cant be asked with another Chelsea reject, happened to many times, never worked out

If we are serious about sacking Ange now & getting another one, only one clear choice in PL - that is Iraola - way he plays with Bournemouth suits us perfectly. Of course can’t see Levy paying for him

Otherwise , in interim I would rather get Harry out of retirement & give him a go or give to Chris Hughton till end of season than seeing Mason.

Ange is both intelligent and articulate - he really does talk a very convincing game. When he played Johnson on the left, then repeated it, it dawned on me that he really isn’t as good as he sounds or thinks he is. That was one of the stupidest selection choices I can remember in a lifetime of watching football.

Having said that, I think he has done enough to warrant another transfer window and to see out this season. Cooler heads in the summer should then evaluate his future.

I would only pull the trigger if it looks like we get dragged into a relegation battle. 5 more wins should see us safe!

Potter!
He is a manager that will be happy with young players and won't complain when levy break all his promises, or at least at start. Potter would be like Poch and improve the squad.
Look at him at Brighton and not Chelsea

I seriously think levy would give him a call

Why would we look at his record at a club less relevant to our situation, and ignore his record at a club far more relevant to our situation?

Tamworth must be licking their lips.

With the way we are playing and God knows what kind of defence we'll have up against them, they could put out those pigs that done a runner, the Tamworth Two, and they'd probably grab a hat trick each.

Plays the same way. High-risk, high reward. Difference is he has a more balanced squad (not better, but balanced).

We’d be tearing our hair out for the season reasons this time next year.

At some point the club has to decide what it is. Is it developing young exciting players to try and upset the applecart - in which case it needs time - or is it trying to be Billy big bollocks and competing with the best, in which case it needs to put the money in. What does the club want to be?

Potter also a nice blend of continuity and improvement with more structure to our football. The downside is that he wouldn’t get instant results and would thus come under enormous pressure by the summer.

I will say Fulham looked much more energetic in the highlights, but that may be a lack of fixtures in comparison to us.
