Any of you genuinely have Celtic supporting friends? What do they make of it? Genuinely interested.

It looks like the wheels are falling off Liverpool's wagon and Arne Slot's days are numbered, they could only manage a draw at home to Fulham today.

I miss PEH. He might not have played every week, but sure would have been useful this season.

Agreed, I certainly thought he added value. I didn't bemoan him going to be honest but I thought we would have replaced what he or a player like him provided this squad, but we left ourselves short. That's not like us at all is it...

Hearing quite a bit of 'We'll be firing when the injured players return'

Sound familiar ? Go back a year . Players came back alright, form didn't.

I think there's an exaggeration about our change of managers. It's not that different from most of the other teams that under perform. If it's not working, you change the manager. Everyone does it.
And how has that worked out for us? Maybe, don’t change and see what happens? If something isn’t working, allow the manager the chance to fix it?

I took it as Levy believing that he himself is currently doing everything right to ensure success for us on the pitch.
When he says 'he', does he mean the bloke he spoke to believes it or that Toulouse Lautrec does.............Although it totally wouldn't surprise me if it's lofty.

Is this about levy, or ange? Its very unspecific
To me that sounds like something levy would say about himself. Hes a very strange character from what we saw in the documentary, and hes completely in denial about how bad we are on the pitch. Remember the Winks comment?

I’d be really surprised if Levy didn’t believe that.

He is what he is at the end of the day. Whether we agree with his methods or not, I’m pretty certain he does.

  • Deki has been put on the wing to provide defensive cover for Porro.
  • Deki has been put on the wing and been allowed to drift inside with the fullback overlapping.
  • Our attacking midfielders have played with more a lot more width in some game, closer to the wings.
  • Ange has shifted the balance in the midfield several times, trying to fit in both Maddison and Deki, as an example. Those kind of shifts have also seemed to work several times, until someone's form drops off a cliff (Bissouma, Maddison), someone gets injured (Bentancur, Maddison), or gets suspended (Bissouma, Bentancur).
  • With Dragusin and Davies, our defensive line has been slightly lower in several games. Maybe that's not by design but their instincts, but either way we've looked a lot more disjointed as a team since we lost Romero and VDV, even though Davies and Dragusin have looked good individually in some games. This is a very good example of how changes can create a domino effect and can be counter productive.
  • I'd also say our fullbacks positioning is often dependent on the opposition.
These are just some examples I've seen this season, with my untrained eyes. I'm sure there are so, so many more tweaks that few of us on here would be qualified enough to notice.

There are at least two posts on this very page saying that no one is urging him to abandon his principles or do a 180, yet that seems to be exactly what you and some other want when you are calling him stubborn or arrogant. Just because the apparent tweaks and adjustments isn't to your liking, or big enough (I would want those at times myself, btw) for your liking, doesn't mean he is letting the ship sink without doing anything, just to protect his ego.

Ange is clearly saying that he doesn't want to change and abandon his principles because that would hurt the team's long-term progress. And guess what, seeing things through even when it's tough is how you build things, that's how you create lasting success without having to depend on luck.

Maybe it won't work, but we won't know that if we don't try. If we just press the reset button again and again, and we can't even try to see things through beyond a season or 18 months, what's the point?
I notice Porro a lot less in the midfield this season. He can be very high, but often is wider

I was wondering if we could go further and have a live execution event… Gladiators, Lions (Daniel in the den😏) and Daniel in a skimpy toga, coining it, conducting proceedings, ‘Are you not entertained?’.

You know what would be great. At half time a mysterious Santa comes out on the pitch. Its only Levy, he gets in goal and the fans pay a fiver to take penalties at him!

Definitely. I do want it to work with Ange. Just feel there has to be a point where we acknowledge it is not working. Probably not there yet.
